Riku is the tallest and strongest of the trio, makin💝g him a force to be reckoned with. However, you can take him down a peg byও beating him in a duel. It will take a bit of practice, but we'll help you even the score in no time!
Where To Find Riku On The Destiny Islands
On your first day on the islands, you can find Riku by the paopu tree. While your priority for the day is gathering resour💝ces for Kairi to store for your voyage, you can take some time to hang out with other friends.
Riku will be sitting on the tree waiting for you to challenge him. Simply make your way up to him and talk to inititate the duel. He'll ask if you're ready, and then the real fun beไgins.
If you leave the island for the day, you won't be able t♏o duel Riku anymore. Instead, when you challenge him, you'll be prompted to race.
How To Beat Riku In A Duel
There are several things to keep in mind when dueling Riku. The platform you'll fight on is rather small, so avoid the edges. If you get knocked out, it will count as a loss.
Riku cannot be knocked off the platform.
Every three to four hits, Riku will roll onto his back, then leap into a powerful kick. Getting hit by this ♊will take out a chunk of your health, so make sure to get out of the 🙈way.
It's important to note that you cannot hit him while he's down like this, so step to the left or right to avoid the attack. If you want to be extra careful, don't hit him in succession. The finisher in your combo will leave you open to retaliation, so stick to single or double hits before retreating.
Riku will taunt you and block. Hitting him three times during this will break the block and he'll lunge at you. While you can dodge this, it's better to put some distance between you and take a moment to breathe.
🀅Locking onto Riku will help you keep track of him as he jumps around the island.
As his HP reaches the bottom, Riku will start to use the leap attack more often. Keep your distance and stick to smaller combos. It's a slow and steady battle. Riku can be r🅠eckless with his attacks, but he's a skilled swordsman🧸 nonetheless, so stay vigilant!
When you beat him, you'll get a small sum of experience and a potion. He's a bit difficult to defeat early on, but once you get the hang of it, Riku is a great early fight to farm for experience and potions.
