Updated on June 25, 2024, by Alfredo Robelo: With the Steam release of the Kingdom Hearts titles, we've decided to take a look back at the original characters that make the series so great. We have updated this article to include plenty more original characters, whose stories have enchanted us over the last two decades.
14 Subject X
A Mystery Unsolved
To this day, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Kingdom Hearts 3 is considered a rather polarizing title. Regardless, within the deep-rooted lore the game establishes, a particularly interesting topic comes from the secret reports. Within one specific report, there is discussion of Subject X, an amnesiac 15-year-old girl who was "found" by Terra-Xehanort during his time as a student of Ansem the Wise. The word "found" is used rather loosely as it's pretty evident in those same reports that Ansem essentially abducted her.
Soon after, characters Isa and Lea (the human versions of Organization 13 members Axel and Saix) befriend her and discuss their original intention of helping her out at the climax of the game. Ever since then, die-hard fans have been searching for proof that this is Skuld from the now-defunct Unchained X mobile game (an ancient keyblade wielder who hasn't been heard from in decades). Time will tell.
13 Kairi
The Princess Of The Series
Kairi might not be the greatest fighter in the series, but she can still 💯hold her own against the many monsters and Heartless that threaten her in the games. She even manages to wield a Keyblade, no longer needing help from others to achieve her goals.
Her primary role, however, is that of a Princess of Heart, which means she holds no darkness within her, and is thus 💝unable to be transformed into a Heartless. This immunity, alongside the ability to sense darkness that is nearby, makes her a central character when fighting the forces of darkness in the name of light.
12 𝓰 Nameless Star
The Next Game Might Bring More Answers
168澳洲幸运5开奖🌱网:About halfway through Kingdom Hearts 3, players arrive in the Toy Box - the Kingdom Hearts name for Toy Story world, which is widely considered one of the better worlds in the game. There, we are introduced to the game Verum Rex, which features the mysterious main character Yozora, a🍒longside his loved ones and friends fighting against a towering Gigas mech.
Later, during the game's climax (as well as the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:DLC ReMind), Sora arrives in the Final World, where he meets the literal Namel𒆙ess Star while trying to save Kairi. The Nameless Star laments about how she is desperately looking for someone near and dear to her heart.

168澳洲幸运5开𒈔奖网: Every Kingdom Hearts Gam🎃e, Ranked
With its blend of Disney and F𝔉inal Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts is a long-running, legendary fa🦹n favorite. We rank every game in the series.
Aside from the obvious implications of these characters, the Nameless Star is considered to be of vast importance, given that she points Riku a♈nd Kairi in the direction of Quadratum (where not only does Yozora reside, but is the location where we see Sora wake up in the Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer).
11 Lea
Remember His Name
Lea is one of the most interesting characters of Organization XIII, since, while we meet him as a Heartless named Axel, the events of the games have him turn back into a human named Lea. Not only did he show th✃at the Heartless state can be reversed, he was also revealed to be a Keyblade wielder, making him a valuable ally for the battles of෴ Sora to come.
He makes for a great addition to the heroic party, not only for his unique visuals and personality, but also because he's one of the few allies of Sora who isn't a child. As for what the future might bring for our red-haired fighter, we don't know, but we sure have his name memorized by this point.
10 Riku
Sora's Rival
When it comes to Riku, fans usually love him or hate him. After all, in the ꦑoriginal Kingdom Hearts game, he a👍cts as one of the primary antagonists and is one of the more brutal boss fights. However, since returning to the light, Riku has been a pivotal asset to King Mickey and the rest of the protagonists featured in the entire Kingdom Hearts series.
Alternatively, one could argue that Riku's real utility comes from his past brush with darkness, which gives him the ability to toe the line between light and darkness, using the best of both worlds in his arsenal against those who would harm him๊ and his friends.
9 Sora
The Lead With A Heart Of Gold
Although his current state is inconclusive following the bittersweet ending of Kingdom Hearts 3, Sora is a very good egg. After all, his demeanor and positive attitude are unmatched and, honestly, it's the little details of his character that really make him shine.
Even after he technically loses a good chunk of his power during the end of Dream Drop Distance, Sora keeps true to himself, his heart, and his friends. Finally, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the sheer number of characters tethered to Sora's heart is a testament to the kind of person he is.
8 Xehanort
A Man With Many Faces
Once perceived to be the ultimate end game antagonist of the Kingdom Heart🐻s franchise, the elderly Master Xehanort is a bit of a complicated character. On the surface, his obsession with immortality (which involves identity theft, overly convoluted time travel, waging war, and splitting his soul) is absolutely among the darkest of ambitions and goals.
However, when Xehanort eventually explains his reasoning, it's hard not to understand; forging the ancient X-Blade to reset the world – equidistant to both light and darkness. It's a lofty goal, at the very least.
7 ꦬ Ansem The Wise 𝐆
Putting The Plot In Motion
Perhaps more of an enigma than Xehanort is his master for a time, Ansem the Wise (not to be confused with Ansem, Seeker of Darkness). Ansem often lurks in the literal shadows, which is specifically exemplified in Chain of Memories, where he makes his first appearance (unbeknownst to fans at this time) as the mysterious masked man DiZ. But no matter what form he takes, Ansem's overarching goals and motives have often been shrouded in secrecy and half-truths.

20 Most Dif💛ficult Kingdom Hearts Boss Figh🏅ts
For a game with Disney 🃏characters, there are some really tough ဣfellas here.
Often perceived as a force for good, a case could be made for Ansem jump-starting a lot of the more nefarious doings within the series. After all, it is Young Xehanort's discovery of the experiments of Ansem the Wise that gave him the initial idea of Nobodies and Heartless.
6 🎶 Ling🎀ering Will
An Armor With A Holy Mission
Lingering Will is the Keyblade Armor of Terra🔯, which gained sentience when its owner was possessed by Xehanort, giving rise to Terra-Xehanort. What little spirit was left of Terra went into his Armor (hence why it is called Lingering Will), which rose up to fight its sworn enemy.
Unable to deal the final blow, Lingering Will remained in the Keyblade Graveyard, waiting for his chance to avenge his friends. It eventual✤ly fulfills its purpose in Kingdom Hearts 3, sacrificing itself to save Sora and avenge his fallen comrades, giving a satisfying end to the story of a very unique character.
5 Luxord
More Than He Seems
There are only two members whose original identities (before being Nobodies) have not yet been revealed within Organization 13: Dꦉemyx and Luxord. In the case of Luxord, his allegiances are rather unclear, since he was last seen giving Sora a wild card for him to use in a future situation after his defeat in the last chunk of KH3 (something many fans of the series believe will be of the utmost importance in returning Sora to the real world), but was also an active member of the Organization.
However, the real mystery is that within the secret movie at the end of ReMind, where his voice actor plays the limo driver of Yozora (the secret boss at the end of the game) with the same kind of inflection. Although this isn't confirmed, the common consensus is that he knows Yozora as he asks rhetorically, "impressive, isn't it?" Curiouser and curiouser.
