One of these is the rather lengthy Science Experiment quest. To fully complete this quest, you need to finish a total of 15 missions, some of which can be challenging. If yoꦬu want to complete them easily and achieve the Senior Executive Explorer r꧒ank, this guide is for you!

What Are The Science Experiments?

The player is checking his progress for the Science Experiment quest in Journey To The Savage Planet.

You initially receive this mission while still in the Landing Site area. The purpose of this rather lengthy mission series is to reach the other explorer ranks. To reach the other ranks, you need to complete the five missions for your current rank. The highest rank you can ach♕ieve is the fourt🍷h level, Senior Executive Explorer.

Additionally, the most important benefit of ranking up is unlocking certain upgrades. If you want to produce new upgrades with your 3D printer, you must complete the S🦩cienceღ Experiment missions.

How To Get The Field Explorer Rank In Science Experiment

To reach the Field Explorer rank, you need to complete five tasks. You can complete these tasks in the Landing Site area.

How To Complete

Live Samples

The player is carrying a live sampler in his left hand in Journey To The Savage Planet.

To complete this Experiment, you need to unlock the Live Sampler. Aꦐfter that, you need to use the Live Sampler to take samples from three different live creatures. Here are the locations of these creatures:

A big-eyed and tusked Pufferbird is standing in the ice cave in Journey To The Savage Planet.

Pufferbirds are among the most common creatures you'll encounter and see frequently in the game. You can easily take samples from them by going inside the ice caves outside Javelin.

A two-headed, lizard-like creature, the Baboushka, is standing among the grass in Journey To The Savage Planet.

Baboushkas are fast-moving lizards that make strange noises. To find them, teleport to Towering Crystals. After traveling southwest for a sufficient amount of time, you'll pass under a rocky arch. When you turn east, you'll see a puddle with steam coming from it. If you wander around this area,🍸 you'♛ll spot the Baboushkas.

Pikemanders are large, rolling lizards. To find them, teleport to the Meteor Crater and head northwest. Use a double jump from the edge of the cliff to reach the opposite cliff. You'll see two of them around the watery area.

Nuke It

An Alpha Pufferbird is looking at the camera in Journey To The Savage Planet.

For this experiment, you need to kill four creatures with an Alpha Pufferbird explosion. First, teleport to the Cliffs of Mt. Gzarfyn.


You will see Alpha Pufferbirds to the southwest. These are the red, exploding versions of them. Go near them and throw a bait to gather four stone-armored Pufferbirds into one spot. Then, quickly shoot the Alpha Pufferbird to make it explode and 💙kill the four armored Pufferbirds with the explosion.

Flight Risk

The player kicks a Pufferbird, sending it into the air in Journey To The Savage Planet.

This experiment is extremely simple. You need to kill five ground creatures while they are airborne. To do this, you can go to an area with a lot of Pufferbirds, such as the ice cave outside Javelin or the west side of Meteor Crater. Approach the Pufferbirds and kick them into the air, then quickly shoot them 🌸while they are still in the air before they fall to the groun☂d.

Safety First

The player is looking at the view from the flow point of the waterfall in Journey To The Savage Planet.

For this experiment, you need to jump from a height of about 50 meters and use Jump Thrusters to save yourself just before hitting the ground or falling into the void. Start at Cliffs of Mt. Gzarfyn, head south, and follow the water path.


Once you have advanced enough, take the lava-flowing section of the mountain on your left and continue south. When you see the second lava-flowing section, turn your back to it and jump down from the flow point of the waterfall to the southwest.


Jump down from here and use the Juꦬmp Thrusters when you are very close to hitting the ground.

Scanning

The player scans some Pufferbirds in ice caverns in Journey To The Savage Planet.

Use your scanner to document at least 25% of the planet’s ecosystem.

How To Get The Explorer Rank In Science Experiment

The player scans a swarm hive shield in Journey To The Savage Planet.

To reach the Explorer rank, you need to complete five tasks. For some of these tasks, you will need to go to The Itching Fields area.

Live Samples 2

An Infected Pufferbird is standing on the green-colored floor of the cave in Journey To The Savage Planet.

Infected Pufferbirds are the exploding and poisonous versions of Pufferbirds. To find them, start at Festering Chasm. Head south and climb up the mushrooms on the left side of the cliff.


Once you reach the top mushroom, look south and enter through the cave entrance. You will see Infected Puffe𒈔rbirds🦂 on the floor of the cave.

A Jellywaft is flying next to a column-shaped rock in Journey To The Savage Planet.

Jellywafts are green, squid-like entities that float through the air. They are found in many places throughout the game. One of the places where you can find them is the south of Towering Crystals.

A blue-armored Kapyena is standing on a rock that resembles a tree stump. in Journey To The Savage Planet.

Kapyenas are two-tailed, armored, dog-like entities that can teleport. To find them, teleport to Fungi of Si'ned VII, and then follow the path northwest.


After passing under a rock arch, go through a passage that resembles a mouth with sharp teeth to the south. You'll 🍷see them on the other side of the passage.

Corrosive Rain

A pink coloured Prime Jellywaft is floating on the air in Journey To The Savage Planet.

For this experiment, you need to kill a Prime Jellywaft and have it hit two creatures with its acid burst as it dies. To find a Prime Jellywaft, teleport to Planetary Flotsam. Head southwest towards the Alien Tablet, then proceed southeast towards a large purple plant. Continue towards the second purple plant you see to the southeast.


Once you reach it, you'll see an area filled with a lot of creatures to the southwest. Among these creatures, there will be a Prime Jellywaft. Bring plenty of bait and gather the Pufferbirds into one spot. While they are gathered, fire at the Prime Jellywඣaft to try and have 🌠its acid bursts hit the creatures.


If you fail, return to the main𝐆 menu and then come back her💫e to try again.

Easy Target

The player is carrying a Binding Bile in his left hand in Journey To The Savage Planet.

For this experiment, you need to kill four creatures within three seconds while they are stuck with Binding Bile. You can find Binding Biles in the Metallic Seed Bags on the mushrooms around Festering Chasm.


After obtaining them, lure Pufferbirds from the ice caves outside The Javelin to a single spot using bait, and then throw Binding Bile at them. Once they ar𝓀e stuck, quickly kill them with your weapon or a Bombegranate.

Bomb Drop

Amber-armored Pufferbirds are gathering at a single spot to eat the bait in Journey To The Savage Planet.

For this experiment, you need to kill three amber-armored Pufferbirds with a single Bombegranate. To do this, teleport to the Fungi of Si'ned VII teleporter. Follow the path north and pass under the rock arch. Before passing under the second rock arch, you will see them to the north.


Gather them into a single spot using bait, and use Binding Bile to prevent them from escaping. Destroy their armor with a Blight Bomb, then use a Bombegranate to kill all of them.

How To Get The Senior Executive Explorer Rank In Science Experiment

The player a pikemander in Journey To The Savage Planet.

To reach the Senior Executive Explorer rank, you need to complete five tasks. For some of these tasks, you will need to go to The Elevared Realm area.

A Schnozo is sticking its head out of a hole in the rock in Journey To The Savage Planet.

Schnozos are creatures that hide inside chimney-shaped rock pillars and shoot at you from within. Teleport to Repaired Teleporter, leave the cave you’re in, and head south. There, you wꦅill find plenty of chimney-shaped roಌck pillars where they are hiding.

An Imperial Scarab is looking up into the air with its four eyes in Journey To The Savage Planet.

Imperial Scarabs are large, beetle-like creatures that create an electric field. To find them, teleport to Xerophilous Landing and head southwest. There, you will find two of them.

A purple Slamphibian is standing on a web-like sticky surface in Journey To The Savage Planet.

Slamphibians are large, muscular, frog-like creatures. You can find two of them near the Slamphibian Pit teleporter.

Let's Bounce

The player is carrying a charged pistol in his right hand in Journey To The Savage Planet.

For this experiment, you need to kill five creatures with a single Charged Shot. To do this, unlock the Supercharged Shot upgrade, then charge your weapon and go to an area with many Pufferbirds.


For example, head to the area west of the Meteor Crater. Use bait to gather them in one spot, then kill all five with a single charged shot.

Shocking

The player is carrying a shock fruit in his left hand in Journey To The Savage Planet.

For this experiment, you need to kill four creatures within three seconds while they are shocked with lightning. The best way to shock them is by using Shock Fruit, so you must have unlocked the Shock Fruit Stabilizer upgrade.


After unlocking it and obtaining Shock Fruit, go to the ice caves outside the Javelin. Use bait to gather Pufferbirds in one spot, then use Shock Fruit and quickly kill them.

I Know Karate

The player is slapping a creature and alien goo covers the screen in Journey To The Savage Planet.

For this experiment, you need to kill 10 creatures in a row using melee attacks without taking any damage. Start outside the Javelin and go to the ice caves, killing them with slaps. Then, as you move towards the Meteor Crater, you will find enough Pufferbirds. Be careful not to let the Alpha Pufferbirds da꧟ma✅ge you.
