Stellar Blade Reviews
First up we’ll be taking⛦ a look at the professional and personal takes on Stellar Blade. Across the board from the usual sources, and our competitors, we’ve got a mostly positive reception.
For example, seven out of ten from IGN, three and a half from Games Radar, and 81 percent from Metacritic sourced from over 131 Critics. So t☂hat’s a pretty good sign. On the average user end, we’ve got a nine-point-two from a pool of 5,564 users and counting with a rating of “Universal Acclaim”. So you can see that Stellar Blade has gone down very well with Critics, the gaming press, and with the game's target audience.
So thumbs up all around for Stellar🌠 Blade so far.
A snapshot of reviews gives a general gist of what Stellar Blade brings to the table and what you can expect for paying the price of entry. TheGamer's own Editor-in-Chief In Chief Staceyꦆ Henley took ♉a whack at Stellar Blade ꦡand came away saying that the game is good, but not great.
“I’m 🐎as conflicted about Stellar Blade as it seems to be about itself.”
Stacey praised the combat but said the game felt confused and conflicting at times. The narrative being the main bugbear and referred to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the plot of Stellar Blade and storytelling as messy and predictable. Whilst the exploration brought its own host of nightmares such as inconsistencies with🧸 platforming and feeling starved of vital resources such as ammunition and health packs.
Despite the combat coming across as unique, according to Stacey, at times she was fighting t🌼he game itself and that too often it feels li🤪ke it's Stellar Blade's fault that you died.
But it’s not just Stacey. Take a dip into the games community posts and you’ll find thread after thread mirroring those sa♈me remarks. Especially 📖pertaining to the particular pesky problem of platforming.
How Long Does It Take To Beat?
When it comes to getting your money's worth, Stellar Blade will certainly keep you busy. Its gameplay loop is similar to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Android-filled lands o💛f NieR: Automata in that you have big open regions to expl♓ore, side-quests to do, and a main story with a ton of collectible doodads scattered throughout. So there’s a lot to do.
How Long To Beat has Stellar Blade at a whopping 21 and a half ho💮urs to finish the main story and 36 for a full run with all the sidequests. For those of us with Mind Goblins, it’ll take an average of 55 hours to finish that Completionist run. So it’s in that nice middle ground of not bein♐g a long grind or too starved of content that it’s over in a weekend.
For the priceও you’re paying, it’s a pretty decent chunk of time filled with some 🥂very satisfying combat.
What Does It Cost?
In general, Stell﷽ar Blade is a little pricey but that’s all video games now on next-gen consoles, ♈unfortunately. Games get prettier, consoles get stronger, the price goes up. Speaking of price, the game itself at launch costs 69 pounds Sterling, 89 Dollars, and about 81 Euros.

So it’s not that cheap, and it’s also a PS5 exclusive at the time of writing. But as previously mentioned there’s a decent amount of time you can sink into the game and with how aesthetically gorgeous the game is, how tight the combat feels, you can definitely feel the work behind the ℱgame. Which makes the rather hefty price tag sting just a little less at least.
There is a feasible future where Stellar Blade comes to PC through Steam or another storefront, but whether 🎉Microsoft makes a move for their console remains to be seen.
What Players Are Saying?
If you’re still not sold on Stellar Blade and need an extra push toward buying it or giving the game a pass, then don’t worry because we’ve got a few more ringing endorsements. From the team at The Gamer comes their own personal takes on Stellar Blade and they’veꦜ got a few interesting things to say.
Short And Good - Mohamed El OuardighiI
Wasn't sure about Stellar Blade until I played it, and I had a blast! It's not your typical hack-and-slash game; its combat has a soulslike base, with parrying being among the skills you'll want to learn to keep up: it's refreshing. Also, we don't always have 100 hours to play games, so the shorter gameplay of around 30 hours to discover everything the game has to offer was very good and fresh compared to those very, very long and repetitive games (which they still can be good in their own ways!)
Stellar Blade offers a decent story wꦦith a few twists here and there, very good combat skills that Eve can use, and multiple endings to achieve. If that's your thing, then it's for you.
Not So Stellar Blade - Josh Roberston
Stellar Blade is a Nier Automata wannabe in every sense, albeit nowhere near as poignant and clever as it wants to be. Its open zone exploration, tricky boss encounters, and very competent yet slightly repetitive combat system combine to make the game a fun enough time that's worth playing, but perhaps not for its premium askiღng price.
If you're a souls-like or hack-and-slash connoisseur and want something new to play, Stellar Blade is definitely worth a try once the discountꦬs start dropping, though you may have a lot of explaining to do if a relative or loved one walks in on you playing it. A lifetime of embarrassment is never worth it.
Exceeding All Expectations - Aidan Cannon
Stellar Blade had a lot to prove. The developer, a relative unknown from Korea, had oඣnly a single mobile game to its name before partnering with PlayStation for a triple-A console launch. Could it possibly live uꦐp to the hype?
In a word, yes.
Shift Up has delivered a superb action title, one that offers enough challenge for veterans without completely alienating newcomers. It slots neatly into the emerging Soulslike genre, featuring 𒐪camps where you purchase upgrades and tense one-on-one boss fights, but offers its own unique spin on the formula. Combat is frenetic in a way its peers can’t match, and a healthy dose of third-person sh🌱ooting prevents encounters from becoming stale.
Even if the gameplay was lacking, Stellar Blade could still wow with its technical wizardry. Environments are beautiful and wondrously detailed while maintaining a solid frame rate. It really shows the capabilities of the PS5 when you en꧑ter the game’s open areas and it doesn’t seem to affect resolution or performance in the slightest. The story is a bit lacking, but if you’re just here for the action, Stellar Blade will make a great addition to your library.
So it's a fairly mixed reception but overall positive for those that enjoy their character action games, our team generally thinks that it's worth waiting until the game is heavily discounted🌠. So if you're in the market for a new hack-n-slash game🤡 but don't care about the story and just want more big gooey-looking monsters to smack, then Stellar Blade is worth it.
Albeit at a much, much lower price.
