Taking cues from the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Immortals is a game that prides itself on its puzzle design, to the extent that lots of the solutions are pretty tough to figure out. The first time you'll notice this is probably during the Passage in the Abyss quest, which tasks you with making your way through your very first Vault of Tartaros.
Fortunately, the solution to the puzzle isn't quite as difficult as it might initially seem. This is the very first Vault of Tartaros in the game, so it's naturally going to be a bit of a weird one to come to terms with. The first thing you need to know is that climbing is a big no-no in Tartaros - if you try to🎃 latch onto a wall, you're just going to bounce right off of it and very slowly fall to your death. So yeah, rule one: no climbing.
Once you s෴pawn in Tartaros, you'll want to head to the platform right in front of you (obviously). Jump across the first gap, then hop over to the green, gilded part of the♌ ledge. These are the only surfaces you can actually grip in Tartaros, so you need to clinch onto it and hoist yourself up onto the next platform.
Jump up and look꧙ for another gilded ledge - you need to make this next jump diagonally, a༺ctually, because it's the only way to reach it without falling towards the bottomless depths of Tartaros. The seemingly straightforward route is a bit too high to make the jump.
Hit the lever at the top and jump across the platforms that rise towards the next area. Here's the puzzle-y bit: use the next lever to pull up the platforms to your right instead of the ones directly ahead of you. Jump across the platforms on the right and hit the lever at the end. Quickly run back the way you came and hit the original lever again in order to pull up the platformꦡs directly in front of you. The middle platform will come the whole way across but then immediately go back to the other side, meaning that you need to jump on the first one, time your jump to the second, and quickly jump to the third before it becomes out of reach. There's some time management involved here, but ultimately it's a faiꦐrly straightforward puzzle.
At the end of this you'll receive the br🌸oken wings, which allow you to double jump. Use your new double jump ability to reach the platform in front of you and continue pressing forward. The axe you need to collect is on your right, before the massi🐈ve door in front of you, and will be glowing.
A cutscene will play after you pick it up. Four enemies will appear - kill the three normal ones first, and use your new axe attack multiple times in a row to stun the shield-bearing enemy, which gives you an opportunity to put down some so꧟lid damage. Winning this fight opens the doors ahead. Step on the panel until the platform moves over, then run on to it so it brings you back to where it came from. Use the b🍬roken wings to jump from platform to platform until you reach the top, where a bolt of Zeus’ lightning is. A cutscene will play, and you will be returned to the normal world, where you'll learn that the Bolt of Lightning you just nicked can be used to upgrade your max stamina.
