In total, there are five planets to explore across the whole game, though only four of them are fully explorꦦable planets. Here's each of them and what y🎐ou can expect from them.

• Stellaris Prime - Lush and dense.
• Xephyr - Deserted and rocky.
• Zenethian Rift - Icy and lava, with separate levels of elevation.
• Quasadron IX - Long plains and many bodies of water.
• Slappi's Den of Fun - A linear planet like the Shrines.

With the exception of Slappi's Den of Fun, you are guaranteed to come across all of these as part of the story. T♛hat's also a pretty good explanation as to why Slappi's Den of Fun is more linear compared to others. It's hard to justify all that development time for a planet you might never see.

How Big Are The Planets?

While every planet in the game is quite different, they are roughly comparable in size. For example, Stellaris Prime is more linear, but each 🐠of its sections are quite dense. Xephy on the other hand is very large, but much of this is covered in deserts. Zenethian Rift is split between frozen and magma areas, but also has floating islands and deep caves t🦩hat give every area an entirely new way of being explored.

So in a strict sense, you can't really quantify the actual size of the planets. However, almost all of them have the same amount of collectables to🌟 be found, such as Orange Goo and Printer Slurry, which roughly equates to the same amount of content to sink your teeth into for ea🦩ch planet.

Slappi's Den of Fun is the exception once again. It is all interiors, and has no collectables for you to acquire.

How To Unlock Each Planet

With the knowledge of how many planets there are, you probably want to know how to unlock them all, too. Thankfully, this is a pretty simple process and, with one exception, none of them can be missed. They are all unlocked as part of the story, which makes it pretty simple to discov𒊎er more 🌃planets.

That said, that means you can't skip to the planets in any order you want. They are designed to be explored with a certain baseline of abilities𒅌 unlocked through the story, and thusly can only be unlocked in the order the story deems ♔appropriate. Below is how to unlock each planet, and the order in which they are unlocked.

Slappi's Den of Fun is the only optional planet in the game, but you still cannot get to it until you have reached Quasadron IX and completed its story mission. This is because Slappi's Den of Fun is unlocked by completing all of his Shrines, with the last one you🌟 need being located on Quasadron IX. That said, you can still finish the game without unlocking this final secret planet, if you're not keen on the challenges.

Once you unlock a planet, you are free to return and explore them again whenever you want, such as by collecting items you couldn't get be𓃲fore with new abilities, or finding new S💖cannables.
