Who Is Seasmoke’s New Rider?
In the latest episode of House of the Dragon, the quest to find a new rider for Seasmoke finally starts aꩵfter Jacaerys councils 𒁏his mother to find Dragonseeds with Targaryen blood to attempt a bonding.
Rhaenyra encourages Ser Steffon Darklyn, a knight of the Queensguard with extremely ♐diluted Valyrian blood and s💃ome ties to the Targaryen house, to bond with the dragon. The hope is that his lineage would make him a suitable candidate.

However, the attempt proves disastrous. Despite Steffon's courage and determination, Seasmoke rejects him violently, breathing fire and burning him to death.
Undeterred by the tragedy, Seasmoke takes flight, seemingly on a mission of its own. The dragon's instincts lead it to Addam of Hull, a young man who is Corlys Velaryon’s bastard son.
Addam initially runs away at the sight of Seasmoke, but by the end of the episode, he has supposedly claimed the dragon and is now one of the☂ most powerful men in the seven kingdoms.
Despite his initial lack of noble birth, Addam's loyalty to Rhaenyra earns him recognition and respect. He is eventually legitimized by Rhaenyra, becoming Addam Velaryon and heir to Driftmark.

Addam in Fire and Bloo♒d is driv🍎en by a desire to prove his worth and secure a place for himself in the world, which is actually mirrored in the show as well. He seizes opportunities just like the opportunity to tame Seasmoke, ultimately rising to become a dragonrider and a prominent figure in the Dance of the Dragons.
After aiding in many battles in Rhaenyra’s name, Addam's demise was met as a tragic consequence of the two betrayals 🐼of t♛he other two dragonseeds, Hugh Hammer and Ulf White.
These two dragonseeds, initially loyal to Rhaenyra Targaryen, betray her with Hugh declaring himself king and Ulf siding with the Greens during the Dance of the Dragons. Their betrayal is a significant blow to Rhaenyra's forces, as they take their dragons, Silverwing and Vermithor, with them.
Later, it's reported that Addam and Seasmoke were killed in battle against Vermithor in the second battle of Tumbleton, as he sacrificed himself to save his men from being burned alive while Vermithor indiscriminately rained fire on everyܫone.
