The Vault is a scene in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:House of Ashes, the third 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark Pictures game. In it, the protagonists make one last-ditch effort to take out some o🔜f the creatures that have been tormenting them through the night and escape in the ch𝓰aos. Whether they make it to see daylight is up to you. Read on in order to learn more about the decisions you'll have to make throughout this scene.

Nick Delves Into The Vault: Salim And Nick
This scene opens as the survivors are overlooking the huge mound of cocoons, dubbed The Vault.
The team decides to blow up the Va🐬ult and kill as 🐟many creatures as possible, creating a distraction for them to escape back to the surface past the creatures in the temple ruins.
- If Eric Is Alive And Has A Good Relationship With Nick: Eric will give Nick his UV light to take with him.
Nick heads into the Vault to plant the explosives and they agree that, if he can't get out, he'll pop a flare to let the team know they should detonate the explosives before he returns. First, you'll play as Salim using his binoculars to survey the area. If you look around, you c🔴an observe creatures hatching from their cocoons ahead of Nick.
After a timeout, the perspective will change and you'll take control of Nick, who is deciding whether to go left or right at a crossroads.
- If Salim Saw The Hatching Creatures: Jason will tell Nick to head right.
- If Salim Didn't See The Hatching Creatures Nick gets to choose the direction. Either way, The Ancient One (either Kurum or Balathu) is observed following you.
If Nick chooses to go left and/or Nick suffered an injury at some point during the game but wasn't healed, he is attacked by a nearby creature. He'll need to pass several quick-time events to escape before continuing. There is a quick-time event to stay calm - if it's failed, Nick doesn't die but it does have consequences later. The 'Blood' Bearing updates if it was due to a wound.
Nick plants some explosives and sees the largest mound of cocoons in the distance. Nick wants to plant bombs on it but Jason tells him to retreat. Nick gets the final call about what to do.
If Nick Retreats From The Vault
If Nick chooses to leave the Vault, he'll escape without getting an opportunity to kill The Ancient One. Under most circumstances, Nick does survive, thou🎃gh. The only exception is if Nick is inju💎red, wasn't healed, and failed the previous quick-time event we mentioned above.

If Nick Advances Into The Vault
After Nick progresses, Salim looks at the mound with his binoculars and realizes that they're all beginning to hatch. When Nick asks how things are looking from their enℱd, Jason goes to answer that they're looking bad. Depending on your previous choices for Salim, Salim may stop Jason from telling Nick anything.
Nick has a conversation with Jason over the radio that 🍬is determined by their relationship up to this pꦐoint.
There are heartbeat quick-time events to ensure that Nick isn't discovered by nearby creatures while he works.
- If The Quick-Time Events Are Failed: Nick is killed by a creature and the other survivors flee. This scene ends.
- If The Quick-Time Events Are Completed: He finishes his work. Then Nick sees Balathu and the creatures and sends up a flare.
Jason begrudgingly uses the detonator and sends the Vault up in flames.
Saving Nick From The Vault
The survivors wait a moment after the explosion, hoping they'll hear from Nick. If Eric is alive, Eric is the one to hear his signal.
- If Eric And Nick Had A Bad Relationship: Eric ignores Nick's call. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:You earn the 'Ghost Signal'🌠 a💞chievement. The remaining survivors flee. This scene ends.
- If Eric And Nick Had A Mediocre Or Good Relationship: Eric tells the other survivors that he can hear Nick.
If Eric is dead, Jason picks up Nick's signal and tells the others.
If the survivors hear from Nick, they realize he needs their help to escape. Nick gets off the radio as The Ancient One attacks him. 'The Ancient One' Bearing updates.
The other survivors run into the Vault to try and save Nick, who is being strangled by The Ancient One. Nick will deal with quick-time events as he's being strangled. If he fails any of them, he will be killed.
In the meantime, the survivors run after Nick. If any of them have injuries that were not healed, then they bleed and attract creatures to their location, slowing them down. The 'Blood' Bearing will update. This will cause them to be too late to save Nick, unless Nick has the stake that he and Jason discovered during 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the scene Bloodbath. If Nick does have the stake, he gets a quick-time event to stab Balathu. If he succeeds, he survives. If he fails, he dies. Nick can also be saved if none of the other protagonists have injuries; they will arrive quickly enough to help him.
The team will, on♛e way or another, arrive at Nick'🐻s location.
- If Nick Is Dead: Salim stabs The Ancient One, killing him.
- If Nick Is Alive But Still In Trouble: They save Nick and kill The Ancient One
- If Nick Is Alive And Has Defeated The Ancient One: The group flees together.
