One of the best parts about the main story of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Honkai: Star Rail are the boss fights like Doomsday Beast or Cocolia. The game helps you in some way while you're fighting these bosses during the story, but they're then added as the Echo of War domains that you'll have to beat by yourself.
There's a weekly limit to claiming rewards from Echoes of War, which regulates the progression even for high-spending players. End Of The Eternal Freeze domain will have you fight Cocolia every week, and here's how you can beat it easily.
How To Unlock End Of The Eternal Freeze Domain
You unlock both the Echo of War mechanic and the End Of The Eternal Freeze domain at the same time in Honkai: Star Rail. To do this, you'll first have to complete the story of the Herta Space Station by defeating the Doomsday Beast and completing the Simulated Universe's first beta test. This will allow you to get on the Astral Express and reach Jarilo-VI.
On this planet, you'll be fighting a Stellaron Crisis, which will eventually lead you to a battle with Cocolia, the Mother of Deception. You'll unlock the Preservation path and Fire combat type for the main character during this fight, and the Echo of War will be unlocked at the end of it.
You can find The Eternal Freeze domain in the Everwinter Hill area of Jarilo-VI.
O🌟nce you locate the domain, you can use the teleport feature to directly teleport to it and start your battle.
Cocolia Attack Pattern
It might look like you only have one enemy to fight in this domain, but as the name suggests, Cocolia is quite deceptive. In the middle of the battle, she can summon two icicles, one on each side, and these icicles aid her in battle. The battle has two phases, and Cocolia manipulates different combat t🉐ypes in each phase.
Here is the ꦛset of attacks you can see herꦕ perform in these phases:
Attack Name |
Phase |
Description |
Bone-Shattering Cold |
1 |
Deals a bit of Ice damage to one ally at random. This attack isn't very dangerous unless one of your characters is super low, and it mostly functions as a filler attack. It doesn't have any debuffs to apply to your characters either. |
Harbinger of Annihilation |
1 |
Cocolia gets two turns at the same time during battle. The first turn usually has her perform a filler attack while the second one triggers the Harbinger of Annihilation. This attack locks onto a specific character. You'll be able to see the ally she locks onto by looking at the buffs and debuffs below a certain character's HP bar or by going into the character section by pressing the button on the bottom left side of your screen♍. |
Soulrend Coldstream |
1 |
This attack is followed up after Harbinger of Annihilation if Cocolia gets another turn and you don't trigger Weakness Break on her before that. It deals huge damage to the locked-on ally. Apart from having enough damage to one-shot a low HP character, i♏t also has a high chance to give them the Frozen debuff. |
Heartless Annihilator Call |
1 |
Calls two icicles to the field. When these icicles are summoned, Cocolia will also remove all combat-type weaknesses temporarily. You'll have to defeat both icicles to get her weaknesses back. |
Everwinter Reverberance |
1 |
Each icicle gets a turn after regular intervals, which can be seen on the lineup at the top left of your screen. On th✤is turn, the icicle deals AoE Ice damage that affects al𝄹l your team members. |
Creator's Resolve |
1 |
When Cocolia switches from the first phase to the second, she increases her SPD permanently and deals Imaginary damage to all allies instead of Ice. |
Genesis Chord |
2 |
This is the Bone-Shattering Cold of the second phase. It deals Imaginary damage to a single target. This damage is almost as much as Bone-Shattering Cold but it also has a high chance to imprison the ally attacked. |
The Creation's Prelude |
2 |
This is a charging attack that triggers on the second attack of most turns. Cocolia chargဣes a huge sphere of Imaginary combat-type, getting ready to deal a heꦜavy blow. |
Last Choir of Genesis |
2 |
If her Toughness is not broken before she gets another turn after The Creation's Prelude, the Last Choir of Genesis triggers. After a beautiful animation, Cocolia deals massive damage to all your allies. This has the potential to one-shot al🌜l your characters, which makes it the most dangerous attack performed by the ওboss. |
If the Frozen effect is applied to your character, their turn is consumed to get rid of this effect, which means that you'll have to wait for the next turn to attack.
On t☂he other hand, Imprisoned allies have their turns delayed and overall SPD is re🐓duced for a few turns.
How To Defeat Cocolia
Knowing how to defeat Cocolia is as important as knowing what attacks you'll be facing. This process starts with mentioning the weakness types of the boss itself and the icicles spawned by her:
Cocolia |
Weak to Fire, Lightning, and Quantum |
Left Icicle |
Weak to Fire and Lightning |
Right Icicle |
Weak to Fire and Quantum |
Much like the Echo of War in Herta Space Station, Fire is the best element to bring to this fight. You can look at Himeko for good AoE Fire DMG, or bring Fire Trailblazer to shred the Weakness bar slowly. Limited characters like Seele or Jing Yuan and their four-star counterparts (Qingque and Serval) can be quite good as well.
You can also bring Silver Wolf to implant a new Weakness if you want to use a DPS belonging to a different combat type.
The special highlight of this boss fight is the ability shown on the middle-right side of your screen. If you remember, this is the robot arm hacked by Himeko during the fight in the main story. This ability charges up when your characters use any abilities or take damage. Once it's fully charged, you can click on it or press the designated button.
This will summon a giant robot arm that will deal a ton of damage to all the enemies. If you have this ability ready during the first phase, wait for Cocolia to summon the icicles. The arm can almost defeat these icicles in one hit, 💟allowing you to focus most of your character damage on the boss herself.
You can use it as soon as it's available in the second phase since Cocolia doesn't spawn icicles anymore.
Apart from this mechanic, here ar🧔e a few tips to help you through the battle:
- Healers or shielders are important. If you have a healer's ultimate ready in the second phase, wait until Cocolia uses the Last Choir of Genesis to use it. Although, if your characters are low before the attack, you can use it already.
- Characters who can remove debuffs like Natasha will go a long way. It can impact the battle massively if Cocolia freezes or imprisons your DPS.
- Erudition characters are the best picks for this domain. It's inefficient to use your single-target damage to remove the icicles from the battle. With Erudition characters, you can damage the main boss while shredding the icicle HPs slowly.
End Of The Eternal Freeze Clear Rewards
You can only claim rewards three times every week from Echoes of War cumulatively. This means that if you claim rewards from another similar domain, your chances of getting Cocolia drops will decrease. That said, here's everything you can get from the domain:
- Guardian's Lament (Trace upgrade material)
- Different rarity relics from the Musketeer of Wild Wheat and Thief of Shooting Meteor sets.
- Lucent Afterglow (Spent in Forgotten Hall shop)
- Small chance of getting Light Cones from the Forgotten Hall shop
- Credits
The exact number of items depends on the difficulty you choose to fight the boss on. You can unlock higher difficulties by upgrading your Equilibrium level. If you think that you'll be able to level up your Equilibrium by the end of a certain week, it's recommended to save your Echo of War runs till then.
