Some of the keybinds in Helldivers can seem strange if you're not used to playing the game, which can hurt your perfor♔mance in each mission. Thankfully, developer Arrowhead Studios has allowed you to change almost all the inputs inside the game, creating a more customized experience for how you prefer to play.

There are some strange choices in the PC keybinds for Helldivers 2, but you have the freedom to customize the inputs to be more comfortable. Due to the way the game's controls work, you won't be able to test most of the new inputs until you start or join a game.

To change this, you'll need to navigate to the pause menu.

Go to the 'Options' tab at the top.
Select 'Mouse & Keyboard' from the sidebar menu.
Select 'Change Binding' from the top of this menu.
Click on the binding you want to change.
Press the key or keys for the new prompt and the duration.

In addition to these settings, you can also increase the 'Mouse Sensitivity' to be more comfortable for you in the 'Mouse &a༺mp; Keyboard' menu, considering it starts so low.

You have a little less choice when it comes to your PS5 controller due to the game's limitations and the lack of extra buttons on your controller. That being said, there are still some settings you can adjust to make the experience a little more intuitive as a new player.

Before you change the bindings, ensure that the Look, Aim, Touch Pad, and Scope Sensitivity are where you like them.

You can access the 'Change Bindings' menu for the controller the same way as you would with a keyboard. Instead of clicking 'Mouse & Keyboard,' click the 'Controller' menu on the left side of the screen.

You have the option to use the Motion Sensor as a PS5 controller, but this setting is disabled by default when you first start up the game. To enable it, go into the 'Controller' menu and select 'Motion Sensor Enable Mode' before setting it to either Aiming, Scope, or Always.

These controls can also apply to an Xbox controller on a PC, just substitute for the button in the same position.
