Although Web of Wyrd is mostly focused on up close and personal hand-to-hand melee combat (as you'd expect from someone who has a hand that's made out of stone), Hellboy is also able to equip one charm and one gun whenever he ventures into the Wyrd, with three possible choices in each category.
Every Gun You Can Equip
Let's start off with the more powerful other half of Hellboy's arsenal - the guns. The first gun in the game and the one you can use from the get-go is the Pistol, which Hellboy calls his "old reliable". This revolver can be fired three times and deals decent damage from a distance, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:which ca🍃n be upgraded using Shakti Sh🌄ards.
The second gun in the game is a Shotgun, which you unlock after finishing the first biome. This gun packs a hefty wallop that deals more damage depending on how close Hellboy is to his enemy. Considering the hand-to-hand focus, that's going to be most of the time, which makes the Shotgun a great choice.
As I detailed in a previous guide on which upgrades to go for first, the Shotgun is by far the best weapon in the game. Not only does it deal massive amounts of damage, but it also knocks enemies back into walls very easily, making it great for extra envirꦉonmental damage.
Finally, we have the Grenade Launcher, which you unlock after beating the game's third biome. As you'd expect from a grenade launcher, this gun fires out a single grenade that can deal damage to multiple enemies at once, making it a good choice for crowd control.
Every Charm You Can Equip
The first charm you can use in Web of Wyrd is the Repel charm. As the name implies, this item causes a shockwave to appear around Hellboy that pushes enemies back and gives you a bit of breathing room.
The Shield charm is the second one you'll unlock in the game after beating the second biome. Using this will give Hellboy a shield against the next light hit he receives from enemies, protecting him from at least one incoming hit.
The final charm in the game is the Attack charm, which you'll get after beating the fourth biome in the game before having to run through them all again. Expectedly, this charm causes Hellboy to pull out a knife that instantly💙 takes health away from an enemy, regardless of their shield.
Now that you know which guns and charms are in the game, let's run through some of the best combinations that you can use. Keep in mind that no matter what gun and charm you equip, you've always got your main and most useful weapon - the Right Hand of Doom.
Shotgun And Shield
Without a doubt, this is the best gun and charm combo that you can equip in the game and what I used for nearly the entirety of my run, save for the times when I wanted to mix things up a bit and try out the other weapons. The whole point of the Shotgun is that it works better when you're close to an enemy, and what better way to guarantee that than by eliminating the next hit you take?
Although the Shotgun is always a good choice to equip in Web of Wyrd, it's worth noting that the Shield starts off incredibly weak and won't be much help at all unless you upgrade it. If you're planning on using this build, make sure to pump some points into the Shield charm.
Grenade Launcher And Repel
Just like the Shield and Shotgun, this is a combination that just makes a lot of sense. The Grenade Launcher is best for crowd control and works well when you've got two big enemies trying to give you trouble at once. The best way to respond to this (beyond just dodging a whole bunch and tanking the damage) is to use the Repel charm to push enemies together, and then use the Grenade Launcher to hit them both at once. This is also the best way to use the Grenade Launcher in general, as it's a bit too situational otherwise.
Pistol And Repel
This might be the first gun and charm combo that you can use in the game, but that doesn't mean that it's a bad choice. The Pistol is, by nature, best at a distance, while the Repel charm excels at keeping enemies away from Hellboy and giving him a chance to breathe. Not only does using the Repel charm give you the chance to do that and the🔯n fire away into the distance, but it also gives you the time to reload if you really need it.
Shotgun And Attack
Another great pairing is the Shotgun and Attack charm. As I said above, the Shotgun is a great choice if you want to plow through your enemies while you're close to them, and things can go even faster if you decide to mix in some shells with a slice from the Attack charm. It's a little tough to get the rhythm right, as you'll need to stay close as much as possible, but it does make quick work of bigger enemies.
