Summary
- Manathirst cards in Hearthstone have extra effects once you reach a certain amount of mana, making them useful in both early and late game scenarios.
- Some Manathirst cards, like Last Stand and Sunfury Clergy, can be exceptionally powerful, presenting significant threats or providing key healing in certain situations.
- Other Manathirst cards, such as Coroner and Faithful Companions, have specific synergies with other cards or deck archetypes, making them valuable additions to certain strategies.
Manathirst is one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hearthstone’s newer keywords, first introdu꧟ced during the March of 🦹the Lich King expansion. Cards with Manathirst get an extra effect once you reach a certain amount of mana, which means that you can play them in the early game if necessary, but they remain useful if you draw them later on.
Additionally, the fact that Manathirst effects are locked during the first turns of the game allows thꦐem to be abnormally powerful. Some would argue that they are too powerful for the game, so let’s take a look at which of Hearthstone’s Manathirst cards are pushing that limit.
10 𒊎 Last Stand
Spending one mana to draw a card generally isn’t a great deal in Hearthstone. However, Last Stand does allow you to tutor for ꦿTaunt minions, so if your deck revolves around a minion with that Keyword, it could be worth including for consistency’s 🍸sake.
Once𒈔 you reach seven mana, Last Stand becomes a far more powerful card because doubling the stats of a Taunt minion can be game-winning in the right scenario. Aggro decks that don’t have access to hard removal will be faced with a wall they can’t break past, and even against other deck archetypes, the minion presents a massive threat that your opponent needs to deal with immediately.
9 Coroner
Coroner is a card played almost exclusively for its Manathirst effect since the idea of freezing a minion is nice, but it wouldn’t find a place in most decks. Silence, on the other hand, is an effective tool against a variety of extremely powerful minions, and this card brings one of the cheapest neutral Silence effects 𒁏in the game.
However, while 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you're playing a match of the Wild format you might opt for Ironbeak Owl, as it costs one more mana but doesn’t have the Manathirst requirement. Since Silence is not something you’ll need in every matchup, Coroner 🐼is often included in decks that run E.T.C., Band Manager, taking up one of the extra deck slots that come with that minion.
8 Su🐻nfury Clergy
Some classes have better healing tools available to them than Sunfury Clergy, but for those that don’t, getting six healing for three mana is one of the best options available to them. While the Manathirst requirement might be problematic in specific scenarios, most of the time you won't need it until you reach six mana.
Sunfury Clergy also has the minor bonus of healing your other minions, which will occasionally swing the bꦬoard pretty heavily in your favor. It can also be a great way to trigger minions with the Priest Overheal keyword, which activates if you heal them🔴 beyond their maximum health.
7 E💞mbers of Strength
2/4 is a solid ဣamount of stats for a two-mana summon even if you are splitting it into a pair of 1/2 units, something that won’t trade especially well with most early-game minions. Thanks to the Manathirst effect, Embers of Strength performs much better in the late game than your average two-mana cards.
One of the biggest advantages this card has, though, is that it is a strong𝔍, cheap Fire spell in Warrior class decks, which has potent synergies with that spell type. If you are trying to take advantage of cards like Thori’belore or Sunfury Champion, Ember🌌s of Strength is one of your best options.
6 🔥 Feast and Famine
Giving your hero an extra three points in attack for two mana isn’t great, as there are plenty of two-mana spells in the game that will deal three damage, and don’t require you to smack your face into whatever you’re targeting. However, Feast and Famine’s Manathirst ability giving it Lifesteal goes a long way, especially since Lifesteal will apply to any attack points your Hero ♎gets from other sources.
If you have a weapon equippeꩵd, you could heal for a massive amount, but the main reason this card is being played is because of its synergy with Horn of the Windlord, a weapon with the Windfury ability. That effe🔯ctively doubles the amount of damage that Feast and Famine adds, either allowing you to finish off your opponent or just heal yourself out of a dangerous spot.
5 🎉 Arcane Bolt
Spells that dealt two damage for one mana were playable in the early days of Hearthstone, but such🧔 cards are currently out of viability. Thre🍃e damage points, on the other hand, are an entirely different story, making Arcane Bolt an extremely powerful tool for burn or combo Mage class decks.
It may be underwhelming in the early game, but if you are trying to kill your opponent with a big combo of multiple spells, you’ll be waiting until the later turns anyway. Additionally, several cards can create Arcane Bolts, so even if this spell isn’t being played in decks directly, it might꧂ still appear in your games with some frequency.
4 𝐆 Conjured Arrow 𒉰
Spending two mana to draw two cards is already exceptionally efficient, and Conjured Arrow deals two damage points on top of that. Add on some Spell Damage, and both aspects of the card get even better, rꦅesulting in a ꦰcard that sees play even in some extremely aggressive Hunter decks, despite its Manathirst requirement.
There are a few downsides to Conjured Arrow, though, it does run into the problem of not being able to draw cards if your opponent doesn’t have any minions. However, that’s not exactly a common scenario in Hearthstone, and its po༺🐬wer after reaching six mana is so great that it easily overcomes those flaws.
3 ⛄ Unleash Fel
Have you spent the early game trying to build up a board and chip away at your opᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚponent’s life? Well, too bad, because Unleash Fel is here to ruin your day. On its own, the spell does⭕n’t accomplish all that much, even if you meet the Manathrist requirement and get Lifesteal.
However, when combined with other spells Unleash Fel could potentially wipe your board and heal your opponent back to full health. Since it was initially released, its Manathirst requirement was changed from four to eigh🀅t, which is a relatively big nerf but not enough to keep it out of every non-aggr🅰o Demon Hunter deck.
2 Faithfu🌄l Companions
The ability to pull a specific Beast is useful, especially if your deck is set up to take advantage of Faithful Companions. Even if you're only running a few beasts, Faithful Companions can be a decent play without triggering the Manathirst effect, getting a minion for a discount, or guaranteeing you have the right one when you need it.
However, if you do hold off until you reach ten mana, then getting an extra copy of your Beast can be exceptional. Two Hollow Hounds will clear your opponent’s board and heal🌸 you to full health, and duplicating a buffed King Krush can sometimes one-shot your opponent from full health.
1 Astalor Bloodswo🀅rn 🅷
Astalor Bloodsworn isn’t merely Hearthstone’s best Manathirst minion, but also one of the strong𝐆est minions the game has eve🍌r seen, because each one of his stages would be decent cards on its own. His base form helps you fight for the board early, the second bolsters your defenses, and the final will win the game by killing your opponent or swinging the board in your favor.
Comb🗹ine all these abilities, and you will get a minion that can fit into every type of deck. If you need proof, just head to the Hearthstone ranked ladder, since despite sufferinℱg numerous nerfs, Astalor is everywhere.
