Farming games often have a progression system for a variety of activities, whether you're cooking, farming, or mining. Since many farming games also fall into the life simulator genre, it's not surprising that you have to gather materials, including ore. Resources are needed for crafting, upgrading tools, and helping others.

𓆉 Harvest Moon: The Winds Of Anthos - 9 Beginner Tips ꦯ
If you're just starting out with Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthoಞs, there are a few things you should know to make life easier.
Some farming games make it easy and predictable to gain the necessary ores. Others, like Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos require more dedication to obtain ores. The nature of the game, and the stamina mechanics, mean you have to ๊plan your mining trips to get the ore you ne𒅌ed.
Lenctenbury Village Mine For Early Game Gold Ore
Gold ore isn't easy to come by during the early stages of Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, since managing stamina and food make it a laborious process. The good news is that you can get gold from the very first area, Lenctenbury Village.
To get to the Lenctenbury Mine, travel north from the restaurant. There will be some glowing torches to let you know that you're in the right place.
While it's difficult when you're in the first 30 layers of the mines, gold gets easier to find after that. Your best bet if you need any amount of gold ore in the early game is to get to levels 30-50 in the mine, with the best chance being between levels 40-50.
You can sometimes find gold ore from digging in the circled areas of the map when you use the dowsing function in the mine. The dowsing function will show you all the areas with an anomaly such as ore, pitfalls, and ladders.
Bronze and gold ore nodes look similar, so always try mining the node a couple of times first, to see which one you're getting. You'll save some stamina if you leave the bronze and continue advancing to other floors of the mine.
Lilikala Mine
You may encounter a gold ore node on levels as early as 11-20, but it's more likely for them to show up regularly after floor 30. In the Lilikala Mine beginning levels, you have a better chance of getting gold from digging in the circled areas you see from dowsing.
The Lilikala Mine entrance is directly north of the waypoint for the Great Pier. You'll need to ascend the grassy hill, and the entrance is hidden behind a small plateau landform.
Mining past floor 70 becomes quite difficult, with a much greater likelihood of encountering pitfalls. This isn't a good level to mine for gold, so it's better to stay between floors 40-60 for the best results.
Herbstburg South Mine
The Herbstburg South mine allows you to find gold ore, but with similar to slightly less frequency than in the Lilikala mine. You'll begin to see gold ore clusters around level 35 and beyond.
Once you reach floors 45 through 60 the gold ore you'll find is comparable to what you'll find on similar levels in the Lilikala mine, so you can go to whichever one is closest. Your gold ore haul will give you around 20-30 ore if you're able to mine floors 40-60.
Herbstburg South Mine is quite a bit south, and slightly to the east of Herbstburg Village. It may be difficult to see on the map if you zoom out too much, as it'll be the waypoint furthest to the right on the map for that region.
You can find a lot of gold ore between floors 71 and 80, and there will be a significant increase in the number of boulders you will need to smash, dowsing circles, and falling rocks. It means you’ll be using up a great deal of stamina with all the digging you’ll need to do, and will be going through food a lot unless you’re just mining a few floors rather than all nine or ten levels.
Unless you have other ores or gems you want to collect, it’s preferable to stay around levels 51-60. Your gold mining will be significantly easier and will save a lot of time.
Providence North Mine
If you’re lucky, you’ll find some gold ore clusters in the Providence North Mine around floor 28, but levels 71 and onward have more frequent gold, and there are fewer pitfall tiles to deal with at those𒊎 levels than either Herbstburg South M🎶ine or Lilikala Mine.
You can reach Providence North Mine by traveling north from the town of Providence. You'll have to fix a bridge first, and then you'll travel past an area known as Giant's Waterfall.
If you just want to get gold a little faster, mining one of the other mines to around levels 40-50 may be preferable. It takes a lot of time and food to get to level 71, so if you decide to mine here for gold, bring plenty of supplies.
Zimagrad West Mine
Zimagrad may be one of the trickiest towns to find and navigate at first, but the mine is great for gold ore mining. If you're really lucky, you may even find gold as early as level 11.
Zimagrad West Mine is at the extreme northern part of the map, and tr🌼aveling past the Providence North Mine wilꦰl take you eventually there.
You won't need to mine any farther than levels 30 to 40 before you find a plethora of ore, but the levels are more difficult to mine. There are more pitfalls to worry about, so you'll be doing a lot of digging to avoid them.
The number of pitfalls might be too inconvenient, so you may prefer one of the other mines instead. If you decide to mine here but haven't already unlocked the shortcuts to the different mining levels, you may want to stay a night or two to make progress.
Foot Of The Volcano
The Foot of the Volcano isn't technically a mine, but it does contain gold ore clusters. These are readily accessible, but the area requires you to beat the heat with some cooling foods or drinks to prevent rapid stamina loss.
You can reach the Foot of the Volcano by traveling east of the piers in Lilikala Village. The volcano is large and easily visible, so it should be easy to spot once you're in the Lilikala region.
You'll have plenty of options for mining gold ore, and the mines are spaced out across the map nicely. You're sure to have a nearby mine wherever you are, and once you've been to one, be sure to activate the waypoint so you can teleport any time you want.
