The second season of the Halo show is set to premiere this Thursday𝓰, and Paramount has a lot to prove. Season 1 was met with a mixed reception from critics and fans of the games alike, with the latter group heavily criticising the show for moving away from the source material.

Now, the team behind the Halo show is eager to convince fans that this won't happen again. In an interview with , several key figures from both the show and the franchise as a whole say that Season 2 of Halo will be accurate to the games, learning from fan feedback.

"We dove into Season 2 right away, and what I would say is we had a list of things before we finished Season 1 that we wanted to do with Season 2," says Kiki Wolfkill, head of IP expansion and entertainment at Xbox. Game Informer notes that she says that the new season will be &quo♚t;more faithful to it♒s game series", so we can expect fewer detours this time around.

While not getting into any specifics, Wolfkill adds that they don't regret all of the changes. "What I think was great about getting to see feedback along the way, as you know, really validated some changes that we wanted to make or did give us a new perspective on some other pieces."

Early reviews are out now, and some do mention that the direction of the season seems to be more in keeping with the source material. We'll have to wait and see how the fans feel about this season when it starts this Thursday, with the first two episodes dropping at once.
