The Guardian of Erebus is Hades 2's first hurdle.
Each of these areas is defended by a Guardian, a powerful boss that blocks you from progressing to the next area. The♌ Guardian of Oceanus is Scylla and the Sirens, a group of three performers that will test your prioritization skills. Below, we'll take a look at how to defeat this boss.
Hades 2 is currently in Early Access, so ꦆthe information in this guide is subject to change𝔍 as development progresses.
How To Beat Scylla And The Sirens
Scylla appears at the end of Oceanus with her backup drummer Roxy and guitarist Jetty. You'll have to fight all three of these Sirens at the same time, but they all share the same health bar.
While they share the same health bar, the backup artists can be "defeated" if they take enough damage, temporarily taking them out of the fight. They'll both be brought back when the total health of Scylla and the Sirens reaches around 50 percent.
This will also signal the start of phase two, and both defeated Sirens will returnꦕ with stronge🐈r attacks. We'll take a deeper look at this fight's second phase later.
Scylla uses her shell to block all attacks from the back, taking no damage.
Your strategy for this fight should always be to take out Roxy, the drummer, first. She remains stationary at the back of the arena, but uses difficult-to-avoid area attacks that make it harder to a♌void the other two musicians.
Until the drummer is defeated, you can largely avoid Scylla herself. She is slow and her attacks her fairly easy to dodge, meaning you can safely kite her around the arena while fighting the guitarist, Jetty.
Jetty has a strong charged attack that she will use in your direction, pulsing a wave of damage where she slides. She can also fire a wave of projectiles at you that don't do damage, but can daze you, stopping you in place for a moment.
After Jetty is defeated, Scylla will be the only one left. While she is slow and easy to dodge, there are a few attacks you should watch out for. First is her screaming wave where she rapidly fires short-range projectiles while chasing you around. You can avoid this by sprinting around the arena.
Scylla will also periodically fire a music note projectile at you. This projectile moves fairly s🐻lowly, so you should be able to avoid it if you kee🍌p an eye on it.
Occasionally, Scylla will completely hide in her shell, blocking all damage. After a second, she'll emerge by firing a line of projectiles. Be careಞful not to stand in front of her when 🐼she comes out of her shell.
Phase Two - Featured Artist
At around 50 percent health remaining, Roxy and Jetty will return to the fight, and one of the trio will be chosen as the Featured Artist, making their attacks stronger. It's completely random which Siren is chosen as the Feat𒁏ured Artist.
When a Siren is defeated at this point, they'll be taken out of the fight for good.
Regardless of who becomes the Featured Artist, your strategy should be the same as before. Take out Roxy first to remove her a🔴nnoying area attacks, then focus on Jeꦦtty while kiting around Scylla.
Once Scylla is the last remaining enemy, she'll start to summon Pinheads around the edges of the arena. These small fish enemies have low health, but you can ๊quickly become overwhelmed by them, especially without a strong AoE weapon or Boons.
Use your Cast to keep the Pinheads at bay while you deal the final blow to Scylla. These fish will keep spawning endlessly until she's defeated, so don't bother trying to clear them all out. After Scylla is down, take 💧a Pearl as your reward, and head into the Mourning Fields.
