There are oodles of resources to collect in Hades 2, and they only get more difficult to acquire as you get further in the game. While so❀me are hidden behind late-game bosses and extracted using tools from end-game areas, others are a little more mysterious in their origin.
One such resource is Darkness. If you're a veteran of the first game, you'll be very familiar with this purple gemstone. In this game, however, it is not nearly as plentiful, and it'll take some legwor🐈k and some luck for Melinoe to gather a big stash of the stuff. She'll need some, too.
Hades 2 is currently in Early Access. As a result, the 🌌details below may change o𝓀ver the course of development.
How To Get Darkness
Darkness is obtained fairly simply—it's picked up from the realm of Chaos, accessible through Chaos Gates that spawn randomly throughout the game. However, you will first need to progress very far in the game (possibly even beating Chronos fo♕r the first time) bef𒉰ore they will start to spawn.
You'll know that you're ready to start gathering Darkness when a conversation with Chaos grants you one🔜 for free. From then on, you'll be able to pick up Darkness from time to time just floating in the air wh💃enever you enter a Chaos Gate.
Some tips for gathering Darkness include:
- Always entering Chaos Gates, even though there is risk attached.
- Purchasing the boon from the Well of Charon that guarantees a Chaos Gate will spawn soon (and cost zero Life to enter!).
Other than repeatedly having as many encounters with Chaos a🌌s possible, there is little you can do to impr🌼ove your chances of acquiring Darkness.
