God Of War Ragnarok's Valhalla DLC Adds Highly-Requested New Boss Battle
God of War Ragnarok's Valhalla DLC finally lets Kratos 🌺go up against🐼 someone as strong as he is.
With that said, this DLC has a lot of references to Kratos' old life, where he was a warmongering monster driven by pure hatred, and that can catch newer fans by surprise in case they haven't played the Greek Saga. And though Kratos explains things relatively well, we're here to give you more details about the events he mentions throughout this journey.
Be warned, there will be spoilers.
11 Helios
Kratos saved Helios in Chains of Olympus from a big plot involving Persephone seeking revenge on the gods. Kratos had already served Ares, and he would occasionally do other gods' bidding, and recovering the Sun was a big deal.
Kratos would only see Helios again in God of War 3, as he's leading an army of Titans onto Mount Olympus to kill Zeus and the others. Helios stood in his way; Kratos ripped his head off with his bare hands and used Helios' head as a lantern, blinding enemies and revealing secrets.
10 Boat Captain 💯
🐷In the original God of War, there was a captain who was swallowed by the Hydra, carrying a key Kratos needed to open a door. After killing said Hydra, Kratos took the key and left the man to his death.
Kratos found him in the Underworld after dying, only to stab him simply to scale back up. The captain's soul was even summoned during a boss fight in God of War 2, where Kratos killed him for the third time. He's be𝄹en referenced in every main game since - yes, even the first Norse God of War game - and he was the first glance of Kratos' cruelty and indifference toward people.
9 ꦅ The Chamber Of Sacrifice
During the original game, Kratos went to Pandora's Temple to retrieve her box because it had the power to kill a God –Ares was the target. The area has a lot of combat and puzzles. One featured a poor soldier trapped in a cage, which led to another example of how little Kratos cared for the innocent.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网: 13 Best PS5 Adventure Games
There are plenty of PS5 games that take you on an 🗹adventure. These are th𝓡e best of them.
The goal was to push him toward a contraption that would sacrifice him while fighting hordes of enemies, and once the soldier is sacrificed, t🐽he path opens, and Kratos simply continues his adventure.
8 🅺 The Blade Of Olympus 🔴
During Valhalla's version of the Chamber of Sacrifice, you get a new rage option: Kratos summons the legendary Blade of Olympus, created by Zeus, to end the great war against the Titans. It first appeared in God of War 2, where you can use it only in specific moments.
The reference goes a bit deeper here, though. In God of War 3, the Blade isn't part of your arsenal. Instead, it's your rage power, exactly how it's portrayed here in Valhalla, working the same way as it used to.
7 𒊎 Greek Monsters
Kratos faced many creatures on his previous journeys, and many returned here, some wi💞th their old moves adapted to the new gameplay, while others combined assets from the newer monsters while still having their unique moves.
As you venture through Valhalla, you'll find the classic Undead Leggionares, Harpies, Cyclops, Sirens (you even follow their singing in a few points), Wraiths, Centaurs, and Minotaurs.
6 The Oa𓂃th Stone
Kratos eventually sees an oath stone during this journey. They're items created by the Furies, who serve Ares in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:God of War Ascension, and though Kratos' stone wasn't a particular plot item, the fact that he and all other prisoners have them is a part of the story.
One of these even works as an artifact to empower your rage, though the owner of the stone isn't specified. The game's main menu uses these stones in its artwork, too.
5 🍎 The ꦜChain Of Olympus And The Three Judges
A big plot point in God of War 3 is the Chain of Olympus, which connects Mount Olympus and the Underworld. Its mechanism guards Pandora's box relocated from Pandora's Temple after being opened in God of War.
The part of the chain connected to the Underworld is held by King Minos, Aeacus, and Rhadamanthus, who judge where new souls will go in their afterlife. Kratos destroyed them and the chain during his journey, causing some serious consequences – though destroying things causing serious consequences is pretty much all he do💛es in God of War 3.
4 🃏 Calliope And Lysandra
During your many re-runs in Valhalla, Kratos will talk to Mimir about his firs꧅t ꦦfamily. He mentions his daughter Calliope and his wife Lysandra and how he was tricked into killing them by Ares, who believed Kratos would be a better warrior without them.

You might want to have your t𝓰issues on hand for these emotional moments.
Kratos also mentions seeing his daughter again when he went to Elysium in Chains of Olympus and had to abandon her there to save the world (and thus Elysium) from Persephone. He admits that a part of him would've preferred to stay there and live his final hours with his daughter, though.
As for Lysandra, he does not enjoy talking about her because he was not a good husband to her, forsaking her needs and wants in pursuit of glory as a general. He also states he would've been a better person had he listened to her back then, which is likely true.
3 Pandora
You've read mention of the box a few times, but Pandora is just as important. When the box was placed in the Flame of Olympus, only Pandora could retrieve it at the cost of her own life. Despite that, she was willing to be sacrificed because she wanted Zeus to be stopped. That all happened during God of War 3.
Still, Kratos took pity on her and decided to search for another path. That idea went sideways, as he was again 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:blinded by revenge, attacked Zeus, and let Pandora be sacrificꦆed, only to see the box had been empty since the original game.
Regardless, Kratos still had hope, one of the box's powers. At the end of Valhalla, he even quotes a part of what Pandora said to him in the third game, with the full quote being, "Hope is what makes us strong. It's why we are here. It's what we fight with when all else is lost".
2 Hercules
Kratos is the son of Zeus, which means he has countless half-siblings. Still, the series only addresses Hercules (who technically should've been Heracles), who was extremely envious of Kratos and wanted to kill him in hopes of taking the title of God of War for himself.
He was a boss fight in God of War 3, in one of the best battles of the game and possibly the series as a whole. In Valhalla, Kratos admits not regretting killing him, claiming he was a dangerous man and wanted the throne for all the wrong reasons, believing that putting him down was tꦛhe better choice.
