Despite The Radio Silence At Every PlayStation Event, God Of War Director's New Game Is Reportedly "Going Well"

We've heard very little about what's happening at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Santa Monica Studio since the release of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:God of War: Ragnarok in 2022, but we do know that Cory Barlog, direc꧟tor of both God of War (2018) and Ragnarok, has been leading a project at the studio.

There's been no mention of the project at any of PlayStation's showcases over the last three years, but Bloomberg's Jason Schreier has provided a small update on Barlog's🎀 new game.

In♒ response to a user on ResetEra who asked Schreier about the progress on Balrog's game, , "🅺Cory Barlog's game is [Sony Santa Monica's] next big thing. Last time I spoke to anyone about it (a month or two ago) it was going well."

A tidbit, but most likely a r𓃲eassurance to people who were worried about a studio that's been more-or-less radio silent for the last few years.

Cory Barlog has had a strange career. After working on the original God of War tꦗrilogy, Barlog departed Santa Monica Studio in 2013. He reportedly wor🌳ked on an unreleased tie-in game for Mad Max: Fury Road at Avalanche Studios, but the game was never released. Barlog then joined Crystal Dynamics as a cinematic director for the Tomb Raider reboot, but left the studio after less than a year. He returned to Santa Monica Studio in 2013, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Santa Monica Studio has been exclusively developing God of War since 2002, three years before the ♈release of the original God of War (2005). This is an incredibly long time for a studio to work on one series; even Game Freak has tried to diversify its portfolio from time to time.

There's no guarantee that Barlog's new project isn't the next God of Wa𒀰r, but there's a sense that Santa Monica Studio could finally be working on a new IP after all these🦩 years.

P✱erhaps we'll see an announcement trailer closing the show at one of the industry's big announcement nights in the coming years, in a similar manner to🐲 Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
