However, most of these characters are usually shown one or more updates before in the main story to build up the 𒆙hype for them, especially if they belong to an existing region.

Looking to set 🧸Shenhe up with the best weapons you can possibly find in Genshin Impact? We've got you covered.
However, Skirk has received some special treatment here as she was first shown back at the finale of Fontaine's main story arc. After over a year's wait,✱ she's finally playable as a five-star Cryo character, and she can destroy everything in her path once you build her properly.

Even though Skirk isn't a Natlan-based character, she was still released in the update series for this region, which came with its mobility benefits in the open world. When you hold Skirk's Elemental Skill, it puts you in a special mode where you can move around the map with high movement speed, and you can fly on water i🐻n this 🌼mode.
Outside of that, Skirk doesn't follow the conventional energy system and can essentially deal high damage in every rotation even without any teammates, which makes her a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:phenomenal character for exploration. Outside of the o🤡pen world, she's also the best Cryo character you can use in anyꦏ endgame mode since she can casually dish out over 150,000 damage.
While the damage mentioned above is easily achieved in her premium team, you can still achieve it with her F2P team in the right build.
Skirk's kit has quite a lot to unpack, but her usage in combat is far simpler than you'd expect.
Skirk's Kit, Explained
Skirk's normal attack talent is largely useless, but she still deals a lot of normal attack damage ღꦆfrom other abilities:
- When activating the press or hold instance of her Skill, Skirk gains 45 Serpent's Subtlety points. The press instance also puts her in a special state while the hold instance simply allows her to move at high speed. Skirk deals Cryo-infused normal attacks in the special state and can sprint like her hold instance in it.
- Skirk's Elemental Burst can be activated when you have 50 Serpent's Subtlety to deal high damage, but you rarely want to use this Burst. Instead, she gets a second Burst called Havoc: Extinction when she enters her special state. This second Burst increases her Cryo-infused normal attack damage and can be used without any cost.
- If you use her normal Elemental Burst, it can get a damage boost for every Serpent's Subtlety that you have over 50, up to 62.
- Every 2.5 seconds, when her team triggers Frozen, Superconduct, Cryo Swirl, or Cryo Crystallize reaction, Skirk can summon a Void Rift on the battlefield. Up to three of these rifts can exist on the battlefield, and they can be absorbed with her Cryo-infused Charged Attack, Havoc: Extinction Burst, or the hold instance of Elemental Skill.
- Each Void Rift absorbed provides her eight Serpent's Subtlety and also lets her Havoc: Extinction Burst increase the damage of her Cryo-infused normal attacks further.
- You'll largely only be triggering the Frozen reaction in her team since her teammates can further increase her normal attack DMG by up to 170 percent when they deal Hydro or Cryo damage. Each teammate dealing one of the two types of damage can increase this buff, which essentially forces you to use only the Hydro/Cryo team.
You can find the general rotation of Skirk's attacks in the team section below.
Skirk's Constellations, Explained
If you're going deeper into the gacha with Skirk and getting her constellations, here are the buffs you can expect to get:
- Each Void Rift consumed can additionally deal AoE damage equal to 500 percent of Skirk's ATK, which counts as charged attack DMG.
- Skirk gets ten extra Serpent's Subtlety with her Skill and her normal Burst can take an extra ten Subtlety for the damage increase. Furthermore, using the Havoc: Extinction Burst increases her ATK by 70 percent.
- Elemental Burst levels up by three.
- Outside of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:normal attack DM🗹G from Hydro/Cryo at📖tacks, Skirk can also gain up to 40 percent extra ATK with the maximum stacks.
- Elemental Skill levels up by three.
- Skirk can gain stacks of Havoc: Sever while consuming Void Rifts. These stacks are used when she triggers her normal Burst, uses her Cryo-infused attacks from the Skill, or takes damage to deal extra damage to the enemies.
Skirk Talent Priority
Much like every other character in Genshin Impact, Skirk also has a total of three talents that you can upgrade: normal attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst. However, as mentioned above, her normal attack is largely useless since the multipliers for herꦬ Cryo-infused attacks exist𓆉 separately in the Elemental Skill itself.
You can completely ignore her normal attacks when it comes to upgrading. On the other hand, her Elemental Skill takes the priority for upgrades since she deals most of her damage from this. You can upgrade her Burst right after.
Best Skirk Weapons
Weapons are a crucial part of Skirk since she gets a ton of bonuses from them, but you have to use the right sword to boost her damage. For Skirk, the best weapon is undoubtedly her signature called Azurelight. However, you have a ton of other options based🍌 on the availa﷽bility of your account:
Weapon Name |
Rarity |
Synergy With Skirk |
---|---|---|
Azurelight |
Five-Star |
Apart from the 22.1 percent Crit Rate from the secondary stat of this weapon, Skirk can also get up to 48 percent ATK and 40 percent Crit DMG for free after you use her Elemental Skil𓃲l, making this weap🅰on the best choice for her. |
Mistsplitter Reforged |
Five-Star |
Since Skirk gets a lot of free Crit Rate from certain artifacts and the Cryo synergy, the Crit DMG from this weapon is highly useful for her. Outside of that, you can easily get another 40 percent Elemental DMG bonus from it. |
Haran Geppaku Futsu |
Five-Star |
This is another decent five-star option for Skirk as it can give her a massive Crit Rate boost apart from a bunch of Elemental DMG bonus and normal attack DMG. |
Calamity of Eshu |
Four-Star |
If you have this weapon from its limited-time event, it serves as the best F2P choice for Skirk since it gives you a bunch of normal and charged attack DMG apart from some ATK and Crit Rate. However, you need to have a shielder on your 🅠team for this to work. |
The Black Sword |
Four-Star |
You can acquire this sword from the battle pass, and it also gives you a normal and charged attack DMG bonus outside of some Crit Rate. |
Blackcliff Longsword |
Four-Star |
Finalꦅly, if you don't have any of the above weapons, this sword is your best option for Skiౠrk. |
Best Skirk Artifacts
When you have two or four pieces of the same artifact set on Skirk, you can get certain bonuses, but only some specific bonus effects s🐻uit her well:
Best Artifact Sets In Order |
Synergy With Skirk |
---|---|
Finale of the Deep Galleries |
This set is tailor-made for Skirk and serves as her best in slot for the most part. It can give her a 15 percent Cryo DMG bonus and up to 60 percent normal attack and Burst DMG. The Havoc: Extinction Burst doesn't deal any damage, which prevents the normal attack DMG bonus from this set from going away. |
Marechaussee Hunter |
This set comes in a very close second with Skirk 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:if you're using her with Furina. It can give you up to 36 percent Crit Rate and 15 percent normal and charged attack DMG. |
Blizzard Strayer |
You can also use this set to get some Cryo DMG Bonus and free Crit Rate on Skirk. However, it's not as good when figꦰhting bossesꩲ since they can't be frozen. |
Gladiator's Finale |
Finally, if you don't have any of the above sets ready, you can also use Gladiator's Finale to get some ATK and normal attack DMG boost. |
Skirk Artifact Stat Priority
Apart from being a Crit-based DPS, Skirk can be particularly hard to build the perfect artifact stats on because of how much free Crit Rate she can get in certain instances. For example, if you're using her signature weapon and the Marechaussee Hunter set, you alrꦿeady get 73 per🐽cent Crit Rate on her for free:
- 36 percent Crit Rate from Marechaussee four-piece
- 15 percent Crit Rate from Cryo resonance
- 22 percent Crit Rate from her signature weapon.
This is apart from the five percent Crit Rate that every character starts with.
This leaves very little room for Crit Rate from her artifacts themselves, forcing you to focus on Crit DMG and other stats. To avoid this, you should always be using her tailor-made set with the signature weapon or any other weapon with Cr🧔it Rate as the secondary stat. With that in mind, here are the artifact stats you should look for:
Sands |
ATK Percent |
---|---|
Goblet |
Cryo DMG Bonus / ATK Percent |
Circlet |
Crit DMG > Crit Rate |
Sub-Stats |
Crit Rate/DMG > ATK P🌌ercent > Elemental Mastery (optional) |
Best Skirk Teams
Team Name |
Main Characters |
Alternate Characters |
---|---|---|
Skirk Premium Team |
Skirk, Shenhe, Escoffier, Furina |
Citlali, Yelan |
Skirk F2P Team |
Skirk, Xingqiu, Chongyun, Dahlia |
Rosaria |
As mentioned above, Skirk is constricted to having only Hydro and Cryo characters in her team to get the highest damage bonus from her passive abilities. However, this leaves you with few options and only a coup﷽le of specific characters to get the highe🐷st value from her. These characters are essentially Shenhe, Escoffier, Furina, Citlali, and Yelan.
The first three characters will provide the most buffs to her including DMG bonus, ATK, and Cryo RES shred. However, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Yelan can be used instead of Furina to get a similar buff from the Elemental Burst and Citlali c🐟an be used as the sustainer of the team if you don't have Escoffier, though she won't give many boosts to Skirk herself.
It's important to use at least one Hydro character in the team for the Frozen reaction.
If you don't have these premium five-star characters to use with Skirk, you can replace them with Chongyun, Dahlia, and Xingqiu. If you want to use the F2P sword on Skirk, Dahlia will fit the team perfectly as he can increase her ATK SPD and provide her the required shield. Chongyun can also increase Skirk's ATK SPD here with the second constellat🏅ion.
Here's what your rotation with Skirk should look like for her pre꧋mium🧜 team:
- Use Furina's Skill and then instantly switch to Escoffier to use her Skill and Burst. This will start triggering the Frozen reactions that you need for the Void Rifts. After that, you can switch back to Furina and use her Burst.
- Next, switch to Shenhe and use her Skill's hold version and Burst before switching to Skirk. This should give you nearly enough time to have three Void Rifts.
- With Skirk, press your Elemental Skill and then instantly use your Burst to consume the Void Rifts. After that, you can use her normal attacks until her Skill runs out.
- If your Serpent's Subtlety (shown to the left of Skirk or the energy in her Burst icon) is about to run out, you can perform a charged attack to consume more Void Rifts and get more Serpent's Subtlety.
You can change this rotation a bit to fit your team if you're replacing any characters, but the general idea is to start triggering Frozen as soon as possible.
