Whenever a new area is released in the game, it comes with a bunch of World Quests that can unlock many hidden s🐟ecrets. These quests are optional, but the puzzles involved can be quite tricky to solve.
Dual Evidence is one of these quests that you can get in the Gilded Desert of Sumeru. In this quest, you'll try to find evidence to back Tirzad's research, and you'll have to get three clearances while going through the ruins. Place Of Breath is one of these clearance spots, which can be extremely difficult.
How To Get To The Place Of Breath
If you want to get full clearance in the Desert, you have to reach the Dual Evidence quest first. To do this, you have to unlock the Gilded Desert and finish the Golden Slumber quest line. You can get this quest by heading to Katheryne of Sumeru or talking to Bonifaz in Aaru Village.
In the Golden Slumber quest, you'll embark on a journey with Jeht, Jebrael, and Tirzad and explore the complex underground ruins. The first order of business will be to take everyone out of the hole that they're stuck in.
Once this quest finishes, you can start Dual Evidence in Aaru Village a day later. When you get to the part where you have to get three clearances, it's recommended to finish the Place Of Swallowing first since it's in the same location where you get the quest. To start the Place Of Breath, 𝓰head over to the Teleport Waypoint shown abov🅰e.
This Waypoint will take you to the Khemenu Temple where An Introduction To Indoor Archaeology takes place. Once you get there, you have to follow a specific path to get to the main room. You can use Stone Slate's guidance to do so by heading over to Quest Items in your inventory and pressing Go on the required place.
Head into the main temple once you get to the location and head inside the door to your left. Here, you'll see a blue book with a closed door in front of you. This book was initially red when you first came here, but you have enough clearance to open the door now. Activate the book and jump down the hole.
As you go forward on the lower floor, you'll come across a room with a locked pedestal and a closed door. You don't have to do anything with this pedestal for the quest, but you have to break the rock structure in the corner of this room and then interact with the pedestal in the middle.
The Everlight Cell will rotate and link with the Neverlight Cell that you revealed, and the doorway will open. Head outside and jump down the crack to proceed in the quest. Follow the guidance of the Stone Slate through 🌄the cave.
While the locked pedestal puzzle in the room is optional, you can still solve it by getting the prism from outside the room on the right side and placing it in the tile inside the room. When you do that and interact with the midd🧸le pedestal, the🌜 fan will stop to give passage to the blue orb.
After going through the cave, you'll come across an open area with a way leading up, as shown above. Keep following this path until you enter through a gateway guarded by a Primal Construct. As you go forward a little more, you'll see a Teleport Waypoint with the beautiful Sekhem Hall on the other side.
This place contains many Primal Constructs, but they won't attack you. You can continue solving the Place Of Breath from here.
How To Beat The Place Of Breath
When you enter Sekhem Hall, you'll see another blue orb on a pedestal, but this is also not required for the quest. The path gets quite complicated after this and you can easily get lost, so make sure you follow the instructions. If you've entered the area and can't find your way, it's recommended to go back to the Waypoint and start over.
Enter the first door on your right and go straight down the path to your left. As you go, you can claim a Sacred Seal to your left by removing the barrier with the book. This isn't required for the quest. Keep going straight until you reach another blue orb pedestal. In this room, you can open the door to your left to reach back into🎃 the main hall.
Interact with the blue orb and follow it. It will take you down through a hole. On the lower level, keep following the hole as it goes through a glowing platform. This platform will blink for a few seconds and then disappear. You can find the orb below, but there'll be a fan blocking its path. If the orb goes through the fan while it's on, it'll break and go back to the pedestal on this floor.
When you enter the room, you'll see a book to your left that will turn off the fan. Follow the orb through another breaking platform, and it'll get to the room with a blocked pedestal. Defeat the enemies and keep following the orb to reach the main pil♑lar room. Here, the orb will get submitted into its pillar.
The blocked pedestal where you killed two Primal Constructs will also spawn a blue orb. You can follow this to the main room to light up two pillars. You'll only need one more blue orb after that.
Back in the room with Primal Constructs, there'll be a blue book that will open the door to your right. Enter this room and use the elevator to your right. This will take you to the blue orb above, which will go to the main room as well. Submitting all three orbs will grant you clearance from the Place Of Breath.
