Many reported connectivity issues that didn't allow them to check out the beta over the weekend, while others said that they weren't able to play because their free upgrade for owning the o🌺riginal Gears of War: 💧Ultimate Edition still hadn't arrived. To make things ღworse, the beta didn't even go on for the whole weekend and ended in the middle of 🅺the day on Sunday.

Grinding Gears

Connectivity issues during a beta test is pretty normal, and with the popular title finally coming to PlayStation, you can imagine that t𓂃here were a lot of people trying to get in. Unfortunately, there was too much load on the server, which left a lot of fans hanging. Weeding out issues is the whole point of a beta, but fans were disappointed to learn that the test didn't even run for a whole weekend.

Usually, beta tests run from Saturday morning till Sunday evening, or even Monday morning, to give enough people the chance to play and the developers enough time to collect learnings. However, w🎐ith the beta being so rough already, fans were even more disappointed that the test period was cut short. Some even took this as a bad omen for Gears of War: E-Day.

"Soooooo y'all just not gonna put more days in with all the server issues y'all had?" said a comment in response to a tweet signalling the end of the test period. With the game launching on August 26, many fear that we might get a half-baked version of the classic title. "Severely disappointed. This game can’t launch li♍ke this in August so I really hope y’all make changes," said another. "Hoping the beta is actually utilized how it should be."

"I can't believe with all the server problems where a lot of people couldn't even get into a game Friday, that we don't even get a full Sunday to play," it seems everyone thinks that the game needs more time in the oven. With just over two months till launch, Gears of War: Relಞoaded currently does not look like it'll get a great reception, and cutting the beta test short has only made those fears worse.
