However, in the wake of this new adaptation, Garry's Mod has received a DMCA notice over "unauthorised Skibidi Toilet games". It highlights the Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, Titan TV Man, and Skibidi Toilet characters as registered copyrights, claiming that their models are infringing on copyright.

"Skibidi Toilet guys sent a DMCA too. Serious. Can you believe the cheek?" Gary Newman posted in the s&box Discord server. The models are mashups of different Half-Life assets, mixing characters and props from Valve's iconic FPS series. They are not original to Skibidi Toilet, so this DMCA doesn't exactly hold up.

Skibidi Toilet Creator Didn't File The DMCA Notice

After the DMCA notice was shared by Newman, Skibidi Toilet creator DaFuqBoom revealed that he didn't strike Garry's Mod and that he was as confused as we are. He asked the community if anyone had a way to contact Newman so that he could clear the air and find out what the letter said.

As shows, it was filed by Invisible Narratives, a "Tra-digital" studio founded by Adam Goodman and Michael Bay. So, in summary, it seems as though Skibidi Toilet has been running as a YouTℱube web series for over a yℱear, using Garry's Mod and Valve assets without a problem, but when Michael Bay decided to adapt the viral meme as a movie, he wanted to ensure that they owned it.

Only, that's not possible. The most iconic characters in the series are Male 07 and G-Man from Half-Life 2, shoved into toilets from Half-Life 2. There's no way they can own those assets or the likeness of these characters.
