Xbox Game Pass has become an incredible way for gamers to experience titles that might have passed them by, buried underneath the glut of other releases. Fuga: Melodies Of Steel, the latest installment in CyberConnect2's beloved but underappreciated Little Tail Bronx series, is one of the best examples.
The game follows a group of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:adorable anthropomorphic children whose village is destroyed by a fascist empire. In order to survive, the kids escape onto a giant tank called the Taranis, which features a giant, battlefield-destroying Soul Cannon... powered by a child's life. The game asks you to master its complex battle system in order to keep your furry friends alive, but who will be most useful to get you to the endgame?
7 Sheena Falafeﷺl: A Secret Support Wea🌃pon
Fuga's battle system asks you to bring two characters into battle; your primary character will make use of the tank's heavy artillery in order to defeat enemies directly, while your backup character will provide stat boosts and support abilities. This is where Sheena shines.
Though she doesn't have incredible damage output, her support skills are incredibly useful: with her as your backup, you'll heal SP with each attack, which allows you to use more special skills and layer damage onto enemies more effectively.
6 Mei Marzi𒁃pan: Small But Speedy
Fuga is a turn-based tactical RPG, and like many turn-based RPGs before it, the game allows you to see the order in which you and your foes will attack each other — and certain skill𓄧s will let you manipulate that turn order. E🔯nter Mei Marzipan.
Mei is the fastest character in the game, which already puts her at an advantage. However, many of her skills allow you to earn even more turns, reducing the time you'll have to wait between attacks. Though she's not the strongest character in terms of damage output, her speediness is a boon when you're trying to move quickly through battles.
5 Hack Montblanc: Perfect For Precise Strikes ꦉ
Hack is one of two sibling characters you'll encounter, both of whom are incredibly useful. Hack's greatest strength lies in his precision strikes: if you're battling one very large, very strong enemy, his abilities will help turn the tide in your favor.
This is because of the weapon Hack uses. Fuga's characters are divided into three weapon types: Cannons, Grenade Launchers, and Machine Guns. Hack is a Cannon user, which means that he can layer a lot of damage onto a single enemy. Moreover, he's the fastest cannon user in the game, so you'll be able to pile on bigger hits in a smaller timeframe.
4 Boron Brioche: Slow But Strong ꦛ
Where Mei and Hack earn their places on this list through speed and efficiency, Boron takes the opposite position: he's the slowest character in the game, but he makes up for it with sheer power, particularly through his Hero Mode specialty.
Fuga's Hero Mode mechanic lets you trigger three turns' worth of special abilities when your character's mood has built up enough — it's essentially like a Limit Break. And Boron's Hero Mode ability is probably the best in the game. He can immediately destroy the armor on any foe, allowing you to start damaging them more quickly, and he'll delay their turns significantly. If you're stuck on a boss and need a pinch hitter, Boron is there.
3 Jin Macchiato: Damage Doggo ꦕ
Each weapon class in Fuga has different strengths. Machine Gunners deal the least damage, but they're ideal for handling aerial foes; Cannon users can inflict a lot of damage, but they can only target one enemy at a time. The final weapon class, Grenade Launchers, deals less damage than Cannons, but their attacks can target multiple enemies, making them extremely useful for group battles. And Jin is the strongest Grenade Launcher wielder in the game.
Moreover, his Hero Mod♏e ability doubles the strength of all of his skills, meaning that he can absolutely destroy groups of foes.
2 🌼 Wappa Charlotte: A Critical Party Member
Wappa is definitely one of the stranger party members on this list; she's a Cannon user, meaning that she can't damage a group of enemies like a Grenade Launcher user, and she can't hit aerial enemies like a Machine Gunner. And she's definitely not any stronger than Boron.
But she makes up for those shortcomings with her sky-high Luck stat, which allows her to score far more critical hits than other characters. Many of her skills are also built to raise the Link Gauge, a battle mechanic that allows you to use special Link Attacks when it fills completely. These skills make Wappa an integral part of any party's strategy.
1 Chick Montblanc: Skills For Every S🌟ituation ౠ
But for a true strategic secret weapon, you'll want to have Chick around. Chick is Hack's sister, and while her damage output isn't quite as high as her brother's, she makes up for it with one of the most versatile skillsets in the whole game.
Many of her skills can inflict status effects, helping you to control enemies' movements with pinpoint accuracy. She can even make enemies more susceptible to status effects, which boosts the effectiveness of every one of her teammates. And when she enters Hero Mode, her skills will stop costing SP, allowing you to spam her special attacks to your heart's content. She's useful in pretty much every single battle in the game.
