Fortnite is kind of a big deal, right? I mean, if the colossal number of players, crossovers, and updates wasn’t enough to convince you, then the 🦩fact that every bit of key art for the game right now is plastered with𒀰 Star Wars should be.
So far, the Star Wars update has been pretty fun. Aside from the questionable (read: 𒆙downright disrespectful) AI D🐓arth Vader chatbot, the unlimited-ammoಞ Star Wars weaponry and lightsabers have been a lot of fun to play around with.
Also, the fact that snipers don’t have any drop with these guns. Love that for meꦗ. Don’t love that ꦆfor other sniper users.
But the one thing I can’t help but feel strange abou🐷t is the map. As has always been the case with Fortnite battle royale, everything takes place on the same map, and now we have some Star Wars areas multiversing their way into portions of the existing map. They’ve been recreated well, but it only reminds me how much oppo๊rtunity Fortnite has to vary its maps, and how, bizarrely, it steadfastly refuses to do so.
Crossovers Could Be Bigger Than Ever Before
When looking at this Star Wars season specifically, I can’t help but feel like the areas that have been added to the map are lacking potential.ꦬ There’s a pocket of Tatooine, a Rebel base, an Imperial base, and a few other things dotted around as Star Wars weaponry and Stormtroopers roam the landscape.
Aside from these pockets of new locations on the map being an immediate bloodbath of everyone dropping in to see the new, cool place, it just ends up feeling kind of pointless. I mean, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:I’m🥃 not expecting Fortnite to be meaningful, but there’s definitely some room for bigger, better things here, and when Fortnite is the biggest game around for all things multiversal, it seems strange not to actually take us to those other universes.
Imagine if we had the chance to drop into entirely new maps based on these iconic locations, with 🌄so much more to explore as the season goes on. It could be one map that spans these locations, in some kind of multiversal mashup, or it could be a few maps that you’d play at random. Either way, I feel it would only strengthen the popularity of Fortnite (not that it needs that) and increase the longevity of interest in the seasons.
Even Just More Than The Current And OG Maps Would Be Great
Even outside of these crossovers, I think more than one map would just be good to see. Sure, you can play on the constantly evolving map, or even dive into Fortnite OG to return to the originꦇal experience, but it’s otherwise repetitive in terms of what we’re doing and seeing. We don’t necessarily need 20 different maps, but just another two or three to join the rotation, either on a timely basis or a random selection at all times.
After a few hours of the Star Wars season, the novelty wears off, and it just becomes the norm for howeve♕r many months. The draw of bringing in these things that people love is not just a new character skin, weapons, or some nods here and there; the beloved IPs that make their way to Fortnite are beloved because of the worlds they offer, and to see those worlds realised on a live-service platform that already does so much to bring them together would be an endlessly incredible experience, not just a novelty collage of franchises.
