Before we start jammin' (wink, wink. nudge, nudge.), let's break down what sets Main Stage and Jam Stage apart.

• Fortnite Festival: Mainstage is a rhythm game that requires you to hit note targets in time with the music.

• Fortnite Festival: Jam Stage is a collaborative music editor in which you and up to three other musicians combine custom loops to create a unique song.

How To Equip Jam Tracks

Before using a song on the Jam Stage, you must equip it in your locker. Here's how it's done:

1. Go to the Locker Tab in the Main Lobby.
2. Scroll down to the Jam Tracks section.
3. You can equip up to eight Jam Tracks.
   1. Click the + button on any of the eight empty locker slots.
   2. In the following menu, you'll see a list of all the Jam Tracks you own. Select a track to add to the slot, then press the Back button.

4. Once you're happy with your Jam Track assortment, click Save Jam Tracks.
   1. Click the + button on one of the empty preset spaces to name and save your Jam Track setlist.

Now, your setlist is complete. Launc𓂃h the Jam Stage lobby to get started!

How To Find A Free Stage

One of the Jam Stage mode's caveats is that a maximum of four players can jam together simultaneously. Furthermore, each musical quartet may only play music on one of the available stages located on the map. In other words, you cannot start a loop 🦹outside these designated play areas.

So, how do you know what constitutes a Jam Stage? Of course, there are apparent tells, like a dance floor and a raised performance platform. However, you'll also notice that each Jam Stage has a luminous rainbow boundary surrounding it. You can ꧂jam out anywhere within this boundary once you cross it.

The ⛦stage you warp to when entering the lobby is often the most crowded. Travel further into the promenade to ♚find less congested venues.

How To Start A Loop

Now that you've found a performance space, you're ready to jam! Here's how to start a Jam Track Loop.

1. Press and hold the emote button to open a wheel of your equipped Jam Tracks.
2. Choose your track by highlighting it on the wheel.
3. You may cycle through four instruments:
   • Vocals
   • Lead Guitar
   • Bass Guitar
   • and Drums

4. Release the emote button to commence playing.

You must be close enough to other musicians to add your loop to their jam. If you share a stage with other players but are too far a🌳way, loop-starting becomes disabled. This feature kee꧅ps neighboring jams from sonically jumbling into each other.

How To Edit A Loop

Playing a music loop is the surface level of the Jam Stage experience. The real fun begins once you get creative and edit your loop. Press the Edit Loop button to ope💃n the💃 corresponding menu. You can tinker with three options:

When you're ready to conclude your jam session, press the Stop Loop button to end your loop. Moving your character in any direction also finishes the loop.
