They posted a clip to Twitter of them playing a track in Fortnite Festival with the controller. It's a little small, and not as authentic as holding a guitar, but it works.

Epic Partner @Acai28 managed to get a DS Guitar Hero grip controller working, which if you haven't seen before, is an attachment you snap onto the back of your DS to play the game with. They have colour-coordinated buttons much like the other peripherals, but lending to the smaller console size, it's designed to be as handheld as the DS itself.
