Season 2 might not have been all that exciting in the end, but Chapter 5, Season 3 (also known as Wrecked) is finally upon us today and, as is Epic tradition, . There's a surprising amount to get through, but here's everything coming in this vehicle-focused Season.
Fortnite's Wrecked Season Goes Big On The Cars
, Epic Games released a breakdown of everything new that's coming with the Wrecked update, and the one that instantly stands out is the focus on vehicles. Vehicle mods such as the Cow Catcher and Chonker's Off-Road Tires have been unvaulted and are joined by several new mods such as a Machine Gun Turret, Grenade Launcher Turret, Spiked Bumper and Bulletproof Tires, which can be found in Vehicle Mod Boxes.
This season also introduces a new resource called Nitro, which can be found in Nitro Barrels or by using Nitro Splash. Entering the tempory Nitro state will cause the player's movement speed to increase, stamina to decrease slower, fall damage to be removed, and will give you an "explosive bashing power" that can even break down builds. It can also be used with cars for many of the same benefits.
A new Nitro🧸-fuelled weapon is also coming as part of the Season. The "Nitro Fists", which allow the player to perform a three punch combo, an uppercut, and an aerail punch that acts as a dash. Nitro Fists have four charges that recharge over time, but at least the three-punch combo is free!
Wrecked is also introducing the War Bus, which is something that players will fight for control of while playing Battle Royale. There are two on the map that can be hijacke❀d, and they come with two cannons and a horn that produces an EMP pulse that does damage to Shields and disables surrounding vehicles.
Nuka Cola, Slurp Cacti, And More, Oh My
If you don't fancy slurping down Nitro, then you'll be happy to know that the Fallout crossover includes a brand-new item alongside the power armour. Nuka Cola can now be found across the Island which will instantly restore some Health and restore Shield after some time. There's also a new Slurp Cactus that acts similarly to the Slurp Barrels and heals both you and your car.
Outside of the new items, the Fallout website also reveals that a bunch of vaulted weapons are being carried over into the new season, including Cerberus' Gatekeeper Shotgun, Combat Shotgun, Gatekeeper Shotgun, Oscar's Frenzy Auto Shotgun, Warforged Assault Rifle, Tactical Assault Rifle, Huntress DMR, Hand Cannon, and the Enforcer AR, just to name a few.
Those are just a few of the highlights of the new season, but there are a ton more changes that have been made that look set to make Wrecked one to remember. Let's just hope those servers can hold up for launch.
