Salzburg is far and away the best team in Austria. So, domestic success with them won't be hard to achieve, and you should win the league every year. What makes the save interesting, though, is that you're far behind the best teams in Europe.
Therefore, the challenge will be to rise up and compete in the major European competitions. Your league's reputation will make this difficult, as most top players aren't desperate to play Austrian football. So, good scouting and youth development will be key to your success.
12 🏅 Aberdeen (Scotland - Cinch Premiership)
Scotland's top division is often referred to as a two-team league. Those two teams are Celtic and Rangers, who, between them, have won the title every year since the mid-80s.
The last team to win the prestigious trophy besides them was Aberdeen. And out of all the Scottish teams, they're arguably best positioned to challenge the top two now. Thus, the objective of this save is to do just that, but it won't be easy.
11 Newcastle United (England - Premier Divisi🍒on)
Newcastle have recently become one of the most attractive teams to use on Football Manager. This is because they now have mega-rich owners willing to invest. And unlike Man City, they don't yet have a team of superstars. So, it isn't too easy, as you still have to build the team.
That is not to say they don't already have some decent players. Callum Wilson, for instance, is FM royalty, as while he's a decent striker in real life, he's generally much better in the games. Along with him, you've got a solid team involving Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier, and Alexander Isak. If you spend your money wisely, you may be able to challenge the Premier League elite in a few seasons.

However, it's also a flawed squad since many players are on loan from other teams while several others are aging. Still, there's a decent foundation to build from to challenge PSG in a few seasons.
8 BRG, AKA Braga (Portugal - Premier Lea♎gue) 🦋
The three most well-known teams in Portugal are Benfica, Porto, and Sporting CP. The reason for their fame is that they're the best clubs in the country. In fact, 2001 was the last time a team other than those three won Portugal's top league, and you'd have to go back to 1946 to find another example.
So, the trio is very dominant, meaning a save where you attempt to usurp them is an enjoyable challenge. The team best positioned to do that is Braga, aka BRG. They've got the best squad outside of the big three and a good youth academy, but it still may take a bit of time to challenge for the top trophies.

In most Football Manager instalments, Barcelona is among the top three best teams in the game. Yet, things aren't going quite as well for the Spanish juggernaut these days. The likes of Messi and Iniesta are gone, and the club isn't in a great financial situation. Plus, they've not really been a threat in the Champion's League for many years.
However, on the bright side, they've still got some talented youngsters in the likes of Pedri and Gavi, alongside a few world-class veterans like Lewandowski. Thus, there's a real chance to build the club back up to its former glory and make them the best team in the world once again.
6 ဣ Niigata Unicorn (Singapor🐼e - Premier League)
Sometimes you have the most enjoyable experience while controlling a much lesser-known team. Niigata Unicorn are certainly not very famous. They're, after all, a team playing in Singapore. Their lack of fame isn't the main thing that makes them interesting to control, though.

As a result, you don't have a lot of options for signings. To make matters worse, you're managing in La Liga, meaning if you want to win the top prize, you must overcome the power of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Hollywood stars have appeared 🅷in many games over the years, but it's rare to see them in a title like Football Manager. However, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney can be your bosses if you decide to take over Wrexham.
Because of their ownership, the old Welsh club is the richest and most famous team in the National League. Thus, it's a fun Football Manger save as you have a real chance of climbing up the English divisions. Naturally, it will take a bit of time to reach the Premier League, but it'll be an enjoyable ride.
