168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire Emblem Engage has 26 main story maps to clear, along with 15 Paralogue m𒊎issions. That is more than 40 maps in the game, some 🐠of which will have you pulling your hair out as you try to beat them.
There i🌞s a noticeable difficulty curve in Engage, which is closer to the spike you see in the Awakening and Fates, to the point of utter frustration at times. Each map is beatable, but you may have to pull off some mental gymnastics to get there. Some of these maps we cleared o𒈔n Maddening, while others were done on Hard Mode.
10 Destinea Castle - Chapter Ten (Maddening) 🥀
This is the first time you will have to deal with an enemy having access to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Lyn's Astra Storm Engage Attacks, and it is one of the most challenging early-game fights you will face. Hyacinth will abuse the heck out of making copies with Lyn's skill, and they persist forever, unlike your copies.
Not only can he snipe you from more than ten tiles away, but he will also leave copies halfway up his boss room that you will have to deal with. His melee and ranged attacks will have all four copies join in a chain attack, which will melt through anyone who takes the hits. The only upside is that when Hyacinth has his bow out, he can't counter you in close-range.
9 The River Of Light And Dark - Sigurd’s Paralogue ไ(Hard)
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:We've talked about the Paralogues before, specifically how this map features two unrealistically powerful mage enemies, who have staggering defense and will hit almost anyone for over 50 damage with each spell. You have to take these two out, regardless of if you're trying to cheese the map by sniping Sigurd without lowing the bridge.
Even if you beat the unashamedly cheating mages, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:who may be references to Julius and I🀅shtar, and then open the drawbridge as intended, Sigurd summons a host of enemy soldiers 🐬to the point where it causes the screen to lag due to all the red-line attack indicators going around at once. If you let them get onto the bridge, they will body block you, and you will have to cut your way through.
8 Ring Vault - Chapter Three (Maddening)ꩲ
Bear with us, but this chapter was one we had to replay multiple times, at least on Maddening Mode. This is the chapter you get Boucheron, Alfred, and Etie, but you don't have access to the Draconic Time Crystal yet, meaning you cannot rewind any turns. This map could take anywhere between 30 minutes to three hours if you want to keep everyone alive.
As you can imagine, trying to keep every unit alive, with your only option being to restart the whole fight, is a pain. Several variables 🌜could do this, and we lost count of how many times someone died right before getting to finish off the final boss. Truly, Maddening Mode scaling and the number of one percent critical hits we suffered was too ma🌜ny.
7 Florra Port - C𓄧hapter 17 (Hard) 🌠
With this map, not only do you have to deal with the Four Hounds having Emblem Rings, but you can become overwhelmed immediately if you don't know where reinforcements come from. Some bosses and other units can be lured away from larger groups, but doing so will usually bring an onslaught of troops with them.
This happened to us as we threw caution to the wind and sniped an enemy near Veyle with Astra Storm. Veyle charged ahead with all her units, leaving Zephia behind. The turtle formation did well, but it involved strategic utilization of Goddess Dance and Seadall's dance to make it even remotely fair.
6 Elusia Castle - Chapter 20 (Hard) ౠ
Out of all the dark maps you have to do in Fire Emblem Engage, the one in Elusia Castle is the most challenging. It is a frustrating gimmick, made even more infuriating by Griss, who is teleporting around the entire map to sneak out of th🎀e dark areas to blast someone with Warp Ragnarok. It is, sincerely, the 🙈worst.
This is one of the few maps where the challenge is not fun because the reality is that yo𒐪u either restart the whole map and remember when and where Griss comes out of, or you have to keep on rewinding and wasting uses of the time crystal because you placed Diamant one too many steps forward and Griss obliterated him. This is everything wrong🧔 with the torch-related maps in Engage.
5 Bridges In A Row - Leif's Paralogue (Hard)
Thracia fans and haters alike will simultaneously lament and love that this is the map they used for Leif's Paralogue in Engage. You have almost the same number of mounted Mage Knights to deal with, but thankfully you don't have to contend with Reinhardt being a jerk and killing his way through your army with Dire Thunder, Vantage, and Meisterschwert. Even without that, this map can be a struggle in the best way.
If you can find a unit that can take out the Ballistas that never miss and deal astronomical damage, then you'll have a good time on this map as we did. It's a lot of fun 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:seeing Thracia referenced in Engage and an enjoyable throwback to one of the more notorඣious Fire Emblem games.
4 ⭕ Lava Fields - Chapter 23 (Hard) ♐
There is a considerable amount of stat bloat enemies have in later chapters, becoming progressively noticeable after Chapter 21. The fun doesn't stop there because you also go up against even more Dragons, long-range attacks, and mages who love to overuse staves to screw with you.
The Fell Dragon Shard fireballs are easy to deal with since it targets an area you can move out of the way. Instead, the most dangerous opponents will be generic units with a ton of defense, speed, and smash weapons that will, seemingly, never m꧂iss. This does lessen the enjoyment of higher difficulties because there is only so much the game gives you to deal wi🥀th increasingly challenging situations.
3 Gradlon Temple - Chapter 25 (Hard) 🀅 🐼
Do you know how we mentioned the stat bloat and Dragons? Well, this map doubles down on that, giving all of the Dragons on the field Revival Stones. Without going into spoiler territory as to who the boss of♔ this map is, suffice it to say that they will dish out some hurt.
You'll also have to deal with another AoE attack that will blast through certain annoyingly narrow sections of the map as you try to progress. If that's not enough, your team begins the fight separately, so you'll need to have survivable units in both squads to ensure no casualties. As the penultimate map in the game, you should expect to work for your reward here.
2 Mounta🅺inous Region - Chapter 24 (Hard)
As ever, the enemies will have the advantage on this map and you will have to advance on two fronts to avoid being flanked. That is, you must advance into the range of Ballista fire because, why not? The split map is a nuisance, but it adds a dynamic that you will have to choose whether to rush forward to deal with the armame♓nts, or take it slow and try to heal when and where you can.
Again, the boss for this map is hideously spoilerific so we won't mention them. Keep in mind, however, that you're going up against arguably one of the strongest characters in the game, and this will not be an enjoyable engagement unless you're prepared and have some strong tanks to soak up damage.
1 Lythos Castle - Chapter 21 (Hard) ꧑
Like with all the maps in this game, we went into this one unknowingly and hopeful. Little did we know, that three hours into the fight, we had made a fatal mistake. Those wyvern reinforcements that appear as you start fighting Zephia will legitimately never end. We got to turn 40, bargaining with ourselves that this was the final wave. It wasn't. If you can see the image, this is what we were dealing with.
The only way we beat the map was by dying and retrying it. Positioning our six strongest units in two arrowhead formations, we had 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hortensia and Micaiah Engage and use Warp on three to get to Zephia. After that, we use Se𝔍adall to give Hortensia another turn and do the same with the next three. When those five attack, we send in Citrinne and Blyeth to use Goddess Dance and keep the party going. Then it was a race to burst down Veyle, but it was one helluva enjoyable fight, wyverns aside.
