As we play through 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire Emblem Engage and experience the world, characters, and incredible combat, we also♌ see some wild and bizarre decisions Intelligent Systems and Nintendo made during development.

Do Jean's parents secretly hate him? Do the Emblems know every single other world and Fire Emblem universe? How about some of the hair choices on these characters? There are several things, most of which can be brushed off as game logic, but other questions aren't so easily swept aside.

9 🌳 At 🐠What Point In Their Stories Do The Emblems Come From?

Roy from Fire Emblem Binding Blade appears in Fire Emblem Engage

How does this even work? Are these characters in the place they were after the end of their respective games and just some sort of simu🦩lation o🤡f them, or are they the real deal? If the latter, why are they so chill about working for the evil guys sometimes? They seem so fickle at the best of times, so why would you ever trust them and rely on them so heavily?

The Emblems raise a few eyebrows a𒈔bout what they know, how they know these things, and why they care about what is happening in Elyos. It seems to us that these Emblem characters have far bigger fish to fry in their worlds, so where and how do they even exist in ꦉthis capacity?

8 The Hairstyles Are All Over The Place ༒

There are a few characters you'll encounter in Fire Emblem Engage who you'll have to double or triple-take to ensure you're seeing what you think you see. Yes, Alear's hair is ridiculous in so many ways, but other characters in Engage have seemingly gone above and beyond to style their hair in the most confusing way possible.

Celine is one such character. Either someone at Intelligent Systems doesn't get how hair is supposed to work, grow, and look at such extreme lengths, or Celine has been growing her hair since before she was born. It goes out and down to her ankles and is dotted with ribbons and ties, all of which are somehow defying the laws of physics. How, we ask - and more importantly, why?

7 ꦺ Qi Adepts Fully Block Attacks On Allies But Die In One Hit Normally

As you play Fire Emblem, you'll see that all your units have a special designation. Qi Adept is one of these and they have access to the ability Chain Guard, which lets you fully nullify a hit aimed at one of your adjacent units. The character using the guard will take a small amount of damage in the process.

However, it makes very little sense for this class to be a defender when they have such low stats that they're usually one-turned and doubled by almost every single enemy in the game. This is truer on higher difficulties like Maddening. This ability would be better suited for an armored unit since they're extremely tanky.

6 What's Going On With Celine’s Outfit?

Fire Emblem Engage Celine outfit and hair

We know we called out Celine's hair, but have you seen her outfit? Her dress that she wears to war has the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:most outrageous and exaggerated sides to it that puff out like nobody's business. Combined with her hair, it's astonishing Celine is even able to run around without bumping into everything or tripping over herself.

Fire Emblem has always grounded itself fairly well in a medieval fantasy reality, which is why this design is so confusing. We've not seen such an obvious anime direction in a Fire Emblem game before and this is clearly where one of those choices has been implemented.

5 Emblem Outfits Can Only Be Worn By Certain Characters 🌳

Fire Emblem Engage - Alfred in Marth's outfit

Dressing up your characters in Somniel is part of the fun in Fire Emblem Engage. There are so many different and beautiful designs in the game, it's painful that the options can feel so limiting at times. This is true for all characters who aren't the main Lord units you'll encounter as you play.

For example, Alear, Celine, Alfred, Diamant, Alcryst, and so on, are the only units that can wear outfits of the Emblem Lords. Even then, those outfits are gender locked. Normal units, like Chloe and other retainers, aren't allowed to wear them for some unknown reason. Do the clothes magically repel them? Are they too difficult for them to wear? Questions abound.

4 Jean's Parents Let Him Enlist In War At Ten

Fire Emblem Engage, close up of Jean, the Village of Engage

True to Fire Emblem games, the first paralogue on the world map is about saving a village under attack. In the said village, you find the recurring 'Villager' unit, which comes with the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Aptitude skill. Aptitude gives you a higher chan🦹ce to increase your stats on a level up.

Jean is the villager of Engage and, as a ten-year-old child, his parents are more than thrilled to ship him off to war at his own request. Maybe his parents are negligent, or per📖haps Jean framed it extraordinarily well, but he wants to go with us 🅘into battle to become a better doctor.

3 A✨ꩵll Characters Can Summon Emblems

Alear unleashing Marth's Emblem attack in Fire Emblem Engage

Obviously, this is a gameplay consideration, otherwise, the Emblem Rings would be too restrictive. However, it flies directly in the face of a line of dialogue early on in the game when you meet Lumeria. She explains to Alear that only those with special royal 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon blood can summon emblems.

This lin🐬e firmly cements in the lore that only the Dragon kin or royals can use these, but then you can go ahead and slap that ring on whoever you like, letting them Engage and bond with the Emblem in the ring with no problem.

2 The Classic Evil Realm Is Just Over 🐈Yonder

Fire Emblem Engage world map screen

This is your classic game logic issue and another 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire Emblem trope seen 🐻popping up in the series. There are always several countries in Fire Emblem games with that one just over there is the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:home to the unimaginably evil faction.

While they all think they've lived together in relative peace for years, the evil guys have always been plotting and biding their time to strike, which famously never goes well for them. Why these blatant evil-doers are permitted to live alongside these other extremely peaceful and prosperous places is confusing.

1 🌳 The Wake-Up 💮Events Are A Little Odd

Fire Emblem Engage wake-up events at the bed

More than anything, wake-up events are a tremendous invasion of privacy, even if you exist in an anime friend🐼ship land where everything is fine and people there have no boundaries.

Maybe Alear is just lazy and, left to the𒉰ir own devices, will sleep for another thousand years unless someone bursts into thei♏r room and forces them to wake up. If this is the case, it seems like the entire army on the Somniel has to adhere to a schedule dictating which person gets to be the human alarm clock for the day.
