There's a heckin' lot of World Intel to gather for Chadley in , with a great deal of the game's side content coming in the form of it. Several categories are included, from activating Remnawave Towers left by the fallen Junon Republic to discovering beautiful Lifesprings hidden in pristine places.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Chཧapter 4 Main Quest Walkthrough
In ꧒Final Fantꦅasy VII Rebirth's big fourth chapter, you'll get to know the city of Junon very well.
Inevitably, this can all feel like busywork after a while, but there's charm to be had in it all. In fact, a few of these are downright terrific almost every time. Here's our rundown on every World Intel category in FF7 Rebirth - the ones we love, the ones we not-so-much, and everything in-between.
9 𝔍 Activation Intel 💙
Yes, it's towers. Yes, you climb them. And yes, it could be worse. The Remnawave Towers are certainly derivative, and Square Enix doubtless knew they'd be courting jokes by including them. But after the first couple of regions, there's a surprising array of ways to reach their control panels.
Sometimes, you'll need your grappling hook. Occasionally, you'll need your chocobo. You may have to calculate a jump just so. Not all Remnawave Towers are a bore, and at least for us, they seldom felt like an outright chore. But they're... still kind of whatever, right?
8 💫 Moogle Intel
Finding the one Mogstool in each region (two in Corel) is pretty fun, since their scarcity makes them more appealing. Brains are funny like that. Plus, they're iconic. Look at those mushroom houses! And they've got moogles!
On the other hand, we could have done with a shakeup on the mini-game formula at some point. Rounding up all the mooglets is fine the first three times, but by the seventh, you've got to wonder what in tarnation the adult moogles are even doing to allow this debacle to repeat.
7 Fiend😼 Intel
Fighting rare variants of regional monsters ranges from middling to awesome. It totally depends on the monster in question. Chadley's new assistant, MAI, offers some amusing commentary (although we've got to say, how she expects us to listen to her while we're fighting for our lives is beyond us).
You don't know what to expect when you step into a Fiend Intel area. The creatures you battle will rewrite the rules established by their weaker kin. You may have unique objectives to complete, too, which puts a nifty spin on the proceedings.
6 Expediti𒁃on Intel 🅰
Each region has between four and six Lifesprings. They're gorgeous, each and all, and they're often hidden well enough to elicit a satisfying little endorphin rush upon their discovery.
Granted, the mini-game (if we can call it that?) for scanning the Lifesprings never changes. It doesn't even change the button prompt timing! But you know, that's OK. It's all rather soothing, you know? And that music. Oh, that music is simply sublime. Makes the whole thing worth it.
Whไy is oregano inextricably tied to t༒he planet, though?
5 Divine Intel ꦺ
Three shrines to a region - that's the golden rule. Three sanctuaries in honor of the local summoned entity; and finding them unlocks greater power from the summons once you've bested them in the Combat Simulator.
There's a neat system in place involving slashing telltale box-like ruins to unleash a light that'll point you in the right direction toward a shrine. It's organic, and there's a decent sense of accomplishment whenever we reach our destination.
Those button prompts, though? We know we just bemoaned the ease of the Expedition Intel's version, but these are are a bit much! Beggars can't be choosers, we suppose...
4 ✃ Chocobo Intel
Chocobo Intel is never a guarantee - the Grasslands has it, Junon has it, Cosmo Canyon's got it, and Nibel's got it, but neither Corel nor Gongaga do. Both regions award you your chocobo by default, you see. The mini-game for catching the chocobos is pretty fun when Chocobo Intel does show up!
Our favorite is Junon's, but they're all solid. Pushing mine carts around to disguise yourself is a real hoot. These chocobos have a bit of an object permanence issue, don't they? Also, they fall asleep once you're past them.
Chocobos will sleep whenever they darn well like. We love you, chocobos. And you're all right, too, Chocobo Intel.
3 Excavation I🐻ntel ꦅ
A couple of times while you're out finding Lifesprings, Chadley will learn the location of a new set of Upgrade Chips for your Item Transmuter. Chocobos are versatile as all get-out in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and wouldn't you know it, but you'll need them for Excavation Intel.
Th🌳e jazzy little number that plays its sweet sounds for us while we peck away at the general location of some most excellent Upgrade Chips gives it all such a vibe.
That's pretty much it, really - but vibes can go a long way, especially when you're hard at work on something you'll be doing roughly a dozen times throughout your adventure!
2 Classified Inte🍌l
Classified Intel is the superior Fiend Intel. Each region is home to a powerful monster that's available once you clear out the Fiend Intel. Think of these as the mark hunts of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Mark hunts have always involved taking on a job to bring down a notorious beast. Some games have more involved systems for this than others, and admittedly, FF7 Rebirth's is as simple as "go to place; kill thing."
But given the sheer multitude of stuff to do across the board, we can't exactly blame the developers for keeping things simple with Classified Intel!
It doesn't stop the fights from being thrilling. And the arenas are often cool, too - even if you can pretty much deduce where a Classified Intel enemy will be as soon as you see one while exploring a region!
1 ☂ Phenomenon Intel
Could there be any other victor for best World Intel category in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth? Phenomenon Intel is, sorry, but it's just phenomenal. These are full-fledged side quest chains in their own right, and each region's version is wholly separate from the next.
You might be leading troops to battle in a polygonal bizarro world reminiscent of a certain classic FF7 tidbit👍. You might be bringing back Gambits from Final Fantasy 12 (!) in a robot-fighting wild time.
It all leads up to a climactic encounter that's one for the Final Fantasy ages, and it's interspersed with scenes from one of the best recurring characters in the franchise. What more could we ask for?
