Help Aerith pick the perfect flowers♎ for Chloe and Billy in this early Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth side quest.

And, whether you lov💟e him or hate him, Chadley is back at it again, making Cloud and his friends jump through hoops to help improve his Combat Simulator or gather crucial intel on the region. This brings us to the Protorelic Phenomenon found in the Grasslands Region that is only obtainable after chasing a few familiar goons back to their h𓃲ideout.

Grasslands Region - Phenomenon Intel 1: Wild Bandit Chase

Step one of obtaining the valuable Phenomenon Intel in the Grasslands Region is to visit the lighthouse in the northeast corner of the region. Once here, you will notice that the front gate is locked, but walking around the right side of its lengthy fence will reveal an opening you can enter through.

Now that you're inside the fence proceed past the lighthouse door to find scalable portions of the wall highlighted in yellow. Climb the lighthouse wall to stumble upon the one and only Beck's Badasses, a group of bandits you may be familiar wꦗith from the previous installment.

After a brief dialogue exchange, Beck flees the scene with the Protorelic, leaving the rest of his crew behind as 'Decoys.' Here, you must defeat Butch, Burke, and Burt. While we recommendജ using the Assess Materia on them yourself to accumulate more data for Chadley, you can get more information on them🧸 below!

Grasslands Region - Phenomenon Intel 2: One Badass Barbeque

The location of the second Phenomenon Intel location on the Map in the Grasslands Region of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

With the first step out of the way, it's time to track down where Beck ran off with the Protorelic. Fortunately, Chadley can track it, having him ping the location of it on your map, highlighting the pipeline as your next location.

Make your way toward the pipeline to see Beck speaking with his crew while roasting various meats over the fire. As you get closer, you will transition into a short stealth section, having you sneak into a small metal room directly behind Bec﷽k.

Stealth Section Walkthrough

Hide behind the first set of rusted crates and wait for the guard to the right to turn his back and begin walking away from you. From here, quickly move straight up the middle to the long set of rusted crates directly in front of t𒈔he fire.

Head left and follow the pathway to a small bend in the crates where a lone bandit is on watch. He will periodically rotate, facing toward you or away from you, looking toward the staircase. The moment the bandit turns his back to you, roll to the next set of crates.

Once here, you will notice a bandit at the top of the staircase and two in front of you. While all of them can spot you, the one you really have to worry about is the one from the last portion. When he turns his back toward you again, swiftly roll to the next set of crates.

Even if the bandit on the far right end spots you briefly, it won't be enough for them to go on full alert. Once here, you can walk around the side of the crates, roll into the room, and sneak up to the checkpoint!

Sneaking In/Combat Guide

After Beck and his goons make their way up the stairs and inside the small shack above to feast on their meal, head out the door you entered and take a right to find a climbable portion of the pipeline. Scale it to see a ladder leading to the shack's rooftop.

When here and appropriately prepared, drop down into the room with Beck's Badasses. After another cutscene, you will be thrown into combat against Butch and a Spearhawk. Butch will be 🐼handled൲ the same way as earlier, but you can get more information on the Spearhawk below!

Grasslands Region - Phenomenon Intel 3: Diversionary Tactics

Seeing as Beck and his group of 'Badasses' got away again, Chadley will ping their location on your map, revealing that they headed to the Abandoned Republic Factory, northwest of their previous location.

Make your way to their new location and simply head to the right of the lengthy factory to find the door wide open. Make your way inside to act𒁏ivate another interaction between Cloud and Beck's Badasses.

Combat Guide

Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa fighting a group of Bandits in the Abandoned Republic Factory in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

After making you guess which of them has the Protorelic (choose the one on the left), they will swiftly flee the scene yet again, having a handful of unnamed bandits ambush Cloud and the rest of his party. These Bandits share the exact same Weaknesses and Stagger Properties as Butch and Burke!

Key Location

With the group of Bandits dispatched you will be tasked with looking for a Key. Fortunately for you, your trusty Chocobo can sniff out its location! To do this, call your Chocobo by pressing R1, then press and hold Up on the D-Pad to have the Chocobo begin sniffing.

Your Chocobo will pick up a scent, leading you outside of the Abandoned Republic Factory. Once outside, follow the scent trail up the pathway. Holding Up on the D-Pad once more will have your Chocobo pinpoint the location of the Key, highlighting a di🦩g spot on the groওund with a bright blue light.

Make your way over to the dig spot and hold Down on the D-Pad to have your Chocobo 'Scour' the area, digging up the Key the Bandits have buried!

Grasslands Region - Phenomenon Intel 4: Taking Care Of Business

Finally, with the Key in your possession, Chadley will ping The Hideout on your map, marking the final spot of this long journey to obtain the Protorelic. To reach its location, fast-travel to the 'Kalm Air-Raid Shelter' point on your map, then head up the narrow trail to the right of the shelter's doorway.

Use the Key on the rusty door and follow the trail all the way up to The Hideout, but watch out for a handful of Orcs on your way. Make your way to the front of The Hideout and approach the barely-opened garage door to have Cloud pass underneath it.

Inside Of The Hideout

Once finally inside The Hideout, Beck and his group of bandits will be playing dead in the center of the room. As soon as you enter The Hideout, look to the right to discover a lever. Make your way over to the lever and hold Triangle on it to drop a comically larᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚge crate onto Beck's Badasses.

This will trigger yet another slew of dialogue between Cloud and Beck's Badasses, providing you with some dialogue choices that will culminate with another combat encounter no matter what you choose.

After failing to negotiate with Beck and his goons, they will activate a Modded Sweeper and will jump in on the action themselves, making it a fierce battle between your party and Beck, Butch, Burke, Burt, and the Modded Sweeper.

Butch, Burke, and Burt are all handled the same way from the previous encounters, and Beck shares the same stats as Butch and Burke, so apply the same methods against him as you would them. The real problem of this encounter is the Modded Sweeper, which you can learn mo🐭re about in the table below!
