The Royal Coast Hotel

Upon speaking to the Tourist Center Receptionist, you will learn of the locations of two hotels in the area, which will be marked on your map. From here, follow the objective markers by foot or Wheelie, leading you directly to The Royal Coast Hotel.

Unfortunately for Cloud and his party, this hotel is booked solid, meaning you cannot crash here for the night and will🐓 have to l🐻ook elsewhere. Luckily, as the Tourist Center receptionist stated earlier, there is another option.

Costa del Sol Resort

From here, follow the main quest waymark again until you reach the Costa del Sol Resort, where the receptionist here will also tell you they are jampacked, meaning you cannot stay here for the night either. With seemingly no option, the savior we need arrives just at the right moment, when we need them most...

Johnny's Seaside Inn

Enter Johnny, who exclaims he is the proud owner of a hotel and would love for Tifa, Cloud, and the others to stay there. After accepting his request because you don't have much of a choice, you will follow Johnny back to 'Johnny's Seaside Inn,' a worn-down shack barely holding up.

Upon arrival, Johnny states he has other matters to tend to but says you can all make yourselves at home. Following that, enter Cloud's room and put his sword on its stand, then head back to the plaza area of Costa del Sol to acquire your beachwear!

Obtaining Beachwear For Cloud

Making your way back out into the plaza, Cloud will be bombarded by two dancers who will give him a 'Ticket del Amor #7,' which will give him access to specific mini-games in the area. Participating and succeeding in these mini-games will reward you with a Companion Card, which can then be exchanged for beachwear.

Pirate's Rampage

After receiving your Ticket from the lovely dancers, follow the waypoint to the west end of the region to find Barret standing in front of the 'Pirate's Rampage' mini-game. Speak to him and the attendant to get a brief rundown of the rules, then accept to participate in the amusement.

To get Cloud a Companion Card here, you must rack up at least 10,000 Score, which is far less than it sounds, as there are many targets for you to hit throughout each of the four rounds. If you are struggling here, we recommend turning off the Motion Sensor Function and the Adaptive Triggers, as they wᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚill substantially impact your overall performance if you aren't used to them!

Card Carnival

With your first Companion Card in your possession, follow the second waymark until you reach the docs and see the one and only Regina there, who you may recognize from the Queen's Blood Tournament on the Shinra-8. Speak to the receptionist nearby to be brought up to speed on the rules of 'Card Carnival.'

After hearing the rules and teaming up with Regina for this unique style of Queen's Blood, you will have to complete three matches of Card Carnival to receive your second Companion Card. Each board will only 💖have you placing cards, so don't worry about Regina placing cards or your o🍨pponent.

Each board has a specific way you must solve it to win, and Regina will quickly point out when you made a mistake. Think of Card Carnival as a puzzle game of sorts, as you must place the cards you have in specific places and in a particular order to emerge victorious!

Obtaining Cloud's Beachwear

Finally, with two Companion Cards in the hands of Cloud, you can speak to the Beachwear Exchange Merchant and trade both of them for two unique outfits for Cloud. From here, head to the changing booth behind the saleswoman and select which one you want Cloud to rock, then head to the beach to meet up with Barret!

Obtaining Beachwear For Tifa And Aerith

With Cloud in his swimwear and on the beach with Barret, it's time to go through the same rigamarole with the ladies—and Red XIII—who must compete in similar mini-games to earn Companion Cards that are then exchanged for beachwear.

So, upon exiting Johnny's Seaside Inn, Aerith and Tifa will be greeted by the dancers, receiving a pair of 'Ticket del Amor #77,' enabling them to participate in some of the attractions in the area. You must partake in four different mini-games here, so be prepared!

Aerith: Run Wild

After speaking with the dancers, four main quest markers will be vomited onto your map and mini-map to follow. Head to the one closest to you, just beyond the small market, to find the Run Wild attraction. Speak to the attendant to get๊ the general rundown of the activity, then accept to participate in it.

Run Wild will have you assume control of Red XIII, having you play a game of soccer against three other animals. There are four goals total, and you must defend your own goal while also trying to score in the other three. Each team begins with five points, which lowers whenever a goal is made on their net.

Placing in first, second, or tying in either first or second place will net Aerith one Companion Card, so you don't have to sweat too hard here. The game is simple enough, and the AI of the opposing teams isn't too aggressive or good, so you should ﷽be able to place at l🦩east second with a bit of effort!

Aerith: Cactuar Caper

Next up is another mini-game that will get Aerith her second Companion Card. You can find it by heading toward the dock where Cloud played Card Carnival with Regina. Approach the waymark on your map to be greet🥃ed by a Shinra Employee and a Studio Employee, who w♎ill give you the gist of the amusement.

After receiving a Caper Compass and a Caper Camera, you will have to track down four Cactuars around the region and snap photos of them with the camera. While they aren't hidden too well, some are a bit of a pain to locate. Just keep an ear out for the Shinra Employee wondering out loud where they could be, as they are always near his location!

Tifa: Unreturned Wheelies

Now that Aerith has her two Companion Cards, it's time to focus on getting Tifa hers. Follow the waymark toward the Tourist Center Receptionist to find a woman angrily denouncing the notion of rounding up the misplaced Wheelies. After the cutscene plays out, you will be tasked with rounding up six Wheelies total.

There are three different colors of Wheelies: Red, Blue, and Yellow, and two are missing from each. To complete this mini-game, you must track them down and return them to their designated spots. Upon completing this task, Tifa will be rewarded with her first Companion Card!

Tifa: Piano Concert

After rounding up all the misplaced Wheelies, head into The Royal Coast Hotel to find Madam M and Andrea. They are looking for a replacement pianist to play in the hotel's lobby. Thus enters Tifa, who plays 'Tifa's Theme' on the piano. You can practice beforehand if you wish, but if you played the game's demo, it's the exact same trac🍎ꦫk that was present there.

No matter your performance, you will get rewarded with a Companion Card, making that two total, which means you are finally done with al🐻l the mini-games in this portion of the game. Now it's time to get changed and down to the beach!

Now that Tifa and Aerith both have two Companion Cards a piece, you can head back to the Beachwear Exchange merchant and trade them in for two unique outfits for the each of them. From here, go to the changing booth behind the merchant, select whichever ones you like, and head down to the beach!

Now that everyone is properly dressed and at the beach, it's time to see what the robes are up to down there, which is where things get interesting. That is, of course, after Cloud gets flustered by Tifa and Aerith's swimwear.

Hojo On The Beach

Everything is seemingly going fine until Hojo shows up and ruins everything in the blink of an eye. Upon the initial cutscene, you must walk up to him as Cloud, which will kick off another long cutscene, where he summons in the Grasptropod.
