Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Queen's Blood Guide

Learn the basics for winnin🅘g every match in Final Fantꦰasy 7 Rebirth's spectacular card game.

As you sail on the Shinra-8 to Costa Del Sol, you will be invited to attend their Queen's Blood Invitational. The winner will be crowned after five rounds, in which♛ you will have to defeat one opponent each. Winning the tournament not only gives you bragging rights but also valuable rewards!

Round One

To start the tournament, talk to the receptionist in the ship lounge. They will go over the rules, telling you that you will select one opponent from the available options each round. After beating them, you must report the match results back to the receptionist's desk to begin the next round.

Even if you lose, you can ask for a rematch or play someone else before going to t🎐he desk, allowing you to continue through the tournament.

They will also direct you to the Queen's Blood vendor on your left. Here you can purchase booster packs to further optimize your deck, if you so choose.

After you have finished your prep work, it's time to face your first opponent! In round one, you can play either Felix, a smooth-talking ladies' man, or Wize 3.0, a robot intent on becoming a master QB player. Felix can be found in the lounge, and Wဣize 3.0 is located on the sundeck.

How To Beat Felix and Wize 3.0

The key to round one of the tournament is to not worry about setting up card combos or modifiers; you just have to place cards and smother your opponent. Felix and Wize are too focused on building up their pawns around their side of the table, and so they can run out of space for their cards quickly.

Continuously expand your control of the board through the middle lane, taking care to cut any advances on the ꦫtop and bottom rows off, ⭕and you'll defeat them with ease.

If at any point you've had your fun or just want to continue the story, you can quit the Invitational by talking to another NPC at the receptionist's desk. However, it's recommended that you finish the quest so you can claim your prizes!

Round Two

Round two will see you squaring off against some familiar faces; you have a choice between Aerith, Tifa, and Barret. Aerith and Tifa are ou꧋tside, while Barret is staying cool indoors. Defeat one of them and report your win to the desk to move ♎on to round three.

How To Beat Aerith, Tifa, And Barret

Your three fellow party members are more adept than your round one opponents, but only just. They will make use of modifiers, boosting the value of some of their placed cards, but still lack the killer instinct to really challenge you. Use your own modifier cards to take control of the middle of the board, then place others in the affected slots, and you'll have more than🥃 enou🤡gh points to best them.

Pay attention to the receptionist every time you report a win. They become more and more obsessed with Cloud after each victory! It's very cute and a cool 🌠way to visually display how deep you've gotten into the tourna🦩ment.

Round Three

Round three holds some familiar faces if you've played Remake, since you're given the choice to face off against Wall Market mainstays Madam M or Andrea.

Madam M is right outside the door on the deck, and Andrea is upstairs in the lounge. Defeat🙈 one of them, and you'll be one step closer to your final opponent!

How To Beat Madam M And Andrea

In round three, you'll start to encounter opponents who require a little more brainpower. The Wall Market locals will use more complex strategies, attacking you from diagonals and effectively boosting their own cards. Their AI also has a better understanding of how to conquer the board, and they'll back you into a corner if you aren't careful.

You were on the offensive in the first two rounds, but now it's time to play conservatively. Letting them make the first moves into the middle of the board allows you to effectively counterattack, replacing their pawns with yours. Using cards that debuff and destroy opponents' cards is also a viable strategy, allowing you to make a comeback if you f😼eel you're being backed into a corne💦r.

Round Four

Cloud facing down Chadley at the Queen's Blood Invitational

Unlike the previous rounds, you will not be able to choose who you play, having to square off against Chadley. Given how the🔯 community seems to feel about the and🐲roid, it's hard not to relish knocking him down a peg. You can find him on the sundꦐeck, and after his defeat, you're finally ready to face the final challenge!

How To Beat Chadley

Chadley will attempt to move uniformly across the board, filling up one column at a time. He does this so he can set up as many modifiers as he can, buffing all his cards as he goes. You can effectively counter this by trying to fill the board with as many of your pawns as possible, thenꦡ destroying his cards in the buffed spaces so they don't receive bonus points.

Final Round

Cloud facing down Regina at the Queen's Blood Invitational

After giving Chadley the business, you're immediately escorted by an NPC to your final opponent for the championship match. It's here that your foe is revealed to be Regina, a character briefly introduced in cutscenes upon boarding the Shinra-8.

The game table is surrounded by fellow guests, lending your match the pomp and circumstance deserving of a final bout. Defeating Regina will earn you the grand prize and finish the tournament, or so it would seem...

How To Beat Regina

Regina, like Chadley, tries to use buffs to vanquish you. Her deck is designed to work together and continuously add bonuses to her score, using Chocobo & Moogle, Crystalline Crab, and Spearhawk, among others. You cannot give her the space to place these cards.

Try to build out all three lanes as much as you can, sealing off the spaces behind you to prevent her from accessing any more of the board. If you play your cards right (ha), you should have enough pawns placed to overpower Regina by number of cards alone.

Regina is tough, most likely the greatest Queen's Blood challenge you've faced up until this point of the game. Before you begin your match, take the time to optimize your deck.

If you're playing and realize you have no hope of winning, pause the game and hit restart to have another go.

Is That... Red?

Red XIII disguised as a Shinra soldier

After beating Regina, you won't be able to celebrate for long because you're immediately challenged again by... Red XIII? Yes, disgruntled by not being allowed in the tournament on account of him being an animal, Red XIII disguises himself as a Shinra soldier to play cards. When you best him, the tournament finally concludes.

How To Beat Red XIII

Red is aggressive. He will charge right at you through the middle, using cards that hit multiple lanes to try and pin you on your side of the board. You will need to destroy some of his territory in the center to claw back into competition, then use high-value cards or buffs to maximize your points in the area you have.

As a reward for emerging victorious, you're awarded the Card Royalty trophy, as well as Ifrit and Terror of the Deep Queen's Blood cards. You'll also receive Assess Earrings, which allow you to use the Assess ability without equipping the requisite materia.
