This one-eyed cretin is one of the very first hunts you will encounter. In fact, you may run into Ahriman before you even know what a hunt is. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 16's version of this series staple is, as always, an agitator who is more than capable of frustrating you with his varied projectiles, and obnoxious keep-away game.
That being said, while this flippant flying foe may have a number of tricks up its sleeve, but Clive will have built up quite the arsenal at this point, so you have more than one way to deal with this nuisance. As the saying goes, 'there's more than one way to skin a bat!'
Where To Find Ahriman
Ahriman is found in Rosaria. If you head east from the Glaidemond Abbey, you will run directly into this floating eyeball. However, you won't be able to encounter Ahriman until you enter into the second act of the story. So, you won't be able to find this creature your first time through Rosaria.
How To Beat The Ahriman
Ahriman is—to put it bluntly—an irritating enemy. Its shtick has it keeping its distance and peppering you with an assortment of projectile-based attacks. Thankfully, with your precision dodge, you will be able to turn its attacks into a means for covering distance and closing in on it.
The table below will break down all of Ahriman's attacks - those in italics are named attacks that appear on-screen, so you can look out for them specifically.
Attack |
Description |
Twin Energy Spheres |
Ahriman will fire two slow-moving projectiꦐles that will follow Clꦯive. These projectiles are extremely slow, but they are reasonably large, and will follow you. If you run away from these you will easily get enough distance from them that they won't be able to track you down. However, these are both very easy to precision dodge, and they make for easy Heat Wave buffs. |
Eye Beam |
Ahriman will fire a laser beam from his eye. While the beam itself is startlingly quick, Ahriman needs to Charge it up for quite somജe time before he can fire it, so you will have plenty of time to prepare for it. |
Teleport |
Ahriman will use this move to teleport away. This is an obnoxious move. Just when you close the distance, Ahriman will disappear and end💛 up in the distance. Use his Energy Spheres to trigger a precision dodge and use🐼 it to dash toward Ahriman. |
Quaga |
Ahriman will summon a series of jutting stones to form under you💮r feet. This attack is both hits relatively hard, and it tosses you up into the air. That being said, when this spell is being cast, you will see Quaga appear on the screen. This is your cue to prepare to dodge. So, don't lock yourself into any Eikonic Attacks once you see the spell name pop up on the screen. |
Doom |
Ahriman will cast a s📖pell that expands into a wide circle before exploding causing massive damage♍. This is an extremely far-reaching AOE attack. It also does an uncomfortable amount of damage. Thankfully, it takes a while to get set up. Once the circle expands, get the🅷 hell out of there. Or, of course, you can prepare to precision dodge it. Though the consequences are severe if you mistime your evasive maneuver. |
Before you fight Ahriman, we strongly suggest that you make sure that Heatwave is equipped. This attack is enhanced when it clashes with a projectile. Well, Ahriman has a healthy supply of projectiles that it will send your way. This is especially useful for turning Ahriman's slow-moving Energy Spheres, as you will have all the time in the world to line them up with the Heatwave.
On that note, those same Energy Spheres will make for a very easy precision dodge, which will be an excellent way to get in on that floating fiend. Pair that with the Phoenix Shift and you should be able to sword-slashing distance. You're going to need to do this many times, as Ahriman likes to teleport away from you.
You can do the same thing with the Eye Beam and precision dodge it. You are given quite a bit of warning that it is coming, but the beam itself is quite fast, so you may just be better off strafing arou𒀰nd that one.
Beyond the Energy Spheres and Eye Beam, Ahriman likes to cast two spells. One is Quaga, this will create glowing spots on the ground which will eventually erupt into a rock spire. You can time these and use them to generate Precision Dodges.
The other spell is Doom. When Ahriman hits you with this, you will have four spheres surround you. These will start to dissipate, and once there is one left, it will rapidly expand. If you don't escape this area soon after, you will be hit by a devastating attack. You can Precision Dodge this, but we think you are probably better off just clearing out of this area.
So, the name of the game here is using your dodge to turn Ahriman's attacks into distance-covering dodges. Generally speaking, Ahriman isn't much of a threat up close, though there is one exception. At a distance, the Energy Spheres aren't intimidating, but up close they are extremely difficult to get around. You'll want to back up or, even better, use your Heatwave Eikonic Attack to dissipate the Energy Sphere and deal big damage to Ahriman.
Once you have shut Ahriman's eye for good, you'll be rewarded with the following:
Experience |
200 |
Ability Points |
35 |
Gil |
5,000 |
Spoils |
Magicked Ash x10, Meteorite x1 |
