I’m a sucker for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 14 events. The more involved events, such as the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网🍌:collabs with other Final Fantasy games or the seasonal ones that offer more substance than the usual run-around quests, are obviously the best (alth🍌ough I do have a soft spot for the Fall Guys🌊 crossover). But having said that, even the mundane ones are normally fine, as long as I’m getting something♍ worthwhile at the end of it.
As a❀ lover of tat in both the real and digital world, the bar is low for me. I’m generally happy with whatever new junk gets thrown my way, That changed when Final Fantasy 14 recently launched its latest seasonal event, Little Ladies Day, which is technically two seasonal events bundled into one, as it’s also Hatching-Tide. Yet somehow, despite being two events in one, it offers nothing substantial in terms of content.

Final Fantasy 14's Quest Names Are The Perfect Example Of The Differences Between Localisation And Translation
FFXIV's ques𓄧t names juꦯst wouldn't hit the same way if they were direct translations.
I think it’s the worst seasonal event to date, for multiple reasons. First of all, it’s two for one but not in the good way where you’re getting twice as many chocolate bars for the same money because it’s buy one get one free. This is two halves of different chocolate bars melted tog🔜ether with the result expected to be a confectionary genius, when it’s not. We’re not getting more, we’re getting less.
For c꧟ontext, Little Ladies’ Day is based on the Japanese holiday Hinamatsuri, and usually takes place in March. Hatching-tide is Eorzea’s equivalent of Easter and generally takes place in April. This combo event stretch꧂es over March and April, but I don’t really see why we couldn’t have had two separate, shorter events back to back instead. It’s not like we haven’t had two seasonal events in quick succession before.
As it stands, we have one event that mashes them both together, which involves two short runaround quests. There’s nothing groundbreaking or particularly endearing about it. The only extra effort has gone into decorati🧸ng the game between the two different seasonal event types, but this doesn’t lessen my disappointment.
As I said from the start, I love tat. I want those freebie items. For most events these days, you haveཧ at least one reward from completing the relevant seasonal quests, and then usually another unique item that can be purchased from a seasonal vendor. With two events combined you’d think there would be at least a couple of decent rewards, right? Wrong. It’s just the one. You get the Peatie mount for completing the quests and that’s it. There’s nothing else.
I love goobbues as much as the next person, but the Peatie mount is just a reskin of tꦬhe Laurel Goobbue mount. It just has pink flowers instead of white flowers on its head now. A reskinned mount a💖s a reward for a seasonal event that is already cutting corners by mashing two digital holidays together into one feels disappointing.
Don’t get me wrong. I know how hard the Final Fantasy 14 team works and Dawntrail is fast approaching, so perhaps they just don’t have the time and energy to do more right now. However, in the past, Square Enix delayed the 2021 Halloween event, All Saints’ Wake, to January 2022 instead due to the pandemic, so I feel like it’s already set a precedent that it could bump events if🌠 needed. I’d much rather get a delayed seasonal event when the team has time to flesh ☂it out properly than this sad mash-up.

While Everyone Is Playing Rebi🎉rth This Weekend, I’ll Be Going Back To Final Fantas𒈔y 14 Instead
