Everkeep Walkthrough

zoraal ja king of resolve

If you challenge Everkeep with a party of Trusts, you'll gain one stack of Wilfull upon entering the battle, which will allow you to survive a lethal attack once. If you take lethal damage, you'll instead be returned to full health and the stack will be consumed.

Falling off the arena when 🃏t♓he edges fall away during phase two of the fight will instantly reset the fight without consuming a stack of Wilfull.

The arena will have a dangerous AoE surrounding it that inflicts Bleeding if you step inside, dealing damage over time. This can't be cleansed by Esuna.

Phase 1

vorpal trail swords creating line aoes in a square

Zoraal Ja will use the following attacks in his first phase, until around 30 percent health remaining.

Attack Name

Type

Details

Soul Overflow

Roomwide AoE

Deals damage to all party members and grants Zoraal Ja a stacking Damage Up buff. Recover with Ao👍E healing.

Double-edged Swords

AoE

Strikes one half of the arena with a half-circle AoE to the front or back of the boss followed immediately by an AoE striking the other half. Avoid the first AoE by standing in the telegraph of the second, then move intoꦓ the newly created safe area.

Patricidal Pique

Tankbuster

Deals high damage to the main Tank. Use defensive cooldowns to mitigate this damage.

Calamity's Edge

AoE

Zoraal Ja will first use Soul Overflow, which will create visions of Mamool Ja around the arena. Then, he will cast Calamity's Edge, dealing damage to all party members and turning the NPCs into circular AoEs. Move away from the NPCs to avoid this attack.

Vorpal Trail

AoE

Summons four swords around the edges of the arena that will fire a line AoE forward. Then, the swords will turn and take one step inward, toward the center of the arena. They will repeat this process until the line AoEs are directly in the center of the arena, at which point they will repeat this entire process again, but in reverse, traveling back out to the edges of the arena.

As the fight progresses, Zoraal Ja will combine these mechanics together. For example, he will use Double-edged Swords during Vorpal Trail, or Double-edged Swords and Calamity's Edge at the same time.

Zoraal Ja will repeat these mechanics until he reaches 30 percent health remaining. At this point, he will use Soul Overflow again, knocking all party members back and transitioning into phase two with a cutscene.

Phase 2

zoraal ja's second phase form

Zoraal Ja will gain an entirely new set of attacks and mechanics in his second phase.

Attack Name

Type

Details

Smiting Circuit (Zoraal Ja readies his blades!)

AoE

Deals damage in an AoE according to th💟e position of Zoraal⛄ Ja's floating blue swords.

  • Swords pointing in: Point-blank circle AoE
  • Swords pointing out: Ring AoE

Dawn of an Age

Roomwide AoE

Deals damage to all party members and destroys the indicated section of the arena, transforming the arena into a 4x4 grid of tiles. Shortly after, four identical floating platforms will appear at the intercardinal directions of the arena.

  • You can now fall off the edge of the arena. Be careful when moving close to the edge during Zoraal Ja's next few attacks.

Vollok

AoE

A set of tiles will be marked with glowing swords in a pyramid shape. Move out of the teleg🌸raphed area to avoid taking damage.

Bitter Reaping

Tankbuster

Targets both Tanks with a high-damage attack. Spread out from one another and use defensive cooldowns.

Sync (The distorted world comes into synchrony)

AoE

Zoraal Ja will first cast Vollok, causing sword formations to appear on two of the floating platforms. Then, he will cast Sync, which will cause one of the platform's sword formations to explode, which will then mirror this explosion on the main platform. To avoid this, determine which platform is being targeted, then look at how the swords are positioned and move accordingly on the main platform.

When Dawn of an Age is used for the second time, Vollok will create groups of swords on all four floating platforms. Sync will then combine two of these Vollok sword sets together, overlapping their AoEs and reducing t♍he number of safe tiles.

Gateway

Special

Creates intersecting tethers between two of the floating platforms and the main platform, linking them together f🦂or Zoraal Ja's𒈔 next few mechanics.

Later in the fight, Gateway will connect all four platforms to the main platform with di൲fferent va꧒riations of paths.

Blade Warp

Line AoE

Summons swords on the floating platforms that will then fire in a line AoE before traveling through the Gateways and onto the main platform. To avoid this attack, you'll need to determine the trajectory of the incoming line AoEs and move to a safe tile. Trace the path of the swords through the Gateways to find which tiles will become unsafe.

The second time Dawn of an Age and Blade Warp are used, swords will be summoned to all four platforms, with two sets resolving at the same time creating intersecting line AoEs on the main platform. Track ജthe path of the swords carefully to avoid this combo.

Actualize

Roomwide AoE

Deals damage to all party members and returns the arena to its original state.

Attack Name

Type

Details

Half Full

AoE

Zoraal Ja will strike one half of the arena, indicated by either the left or right glowing blade. Move to the opposite side of the glowing blade to avoid.

Half Circuit

AoE

This attack combines Smiting Circuit and Half Full, targeting half the arena and either a circle or ring AoE depending on the side o꧋f Zo🥃raal Ja's glowing blade and the position of the floating blades, respectively.

Fire III

AoE Markers

Immediately after Half Circuit resolves, all players will be targeted with AoE Markers. Spread out to avoid overlapping these.

Duty's Edge

Stack Marker

Targets a random player with a continuous Line Stack Marker. Group up on 🐽the targeted player's position and stay there for the duration of this attack to spread out its damage.

Zoraal Ja will repeat these m💟echanics until he is defeated. Many of this boss's mechanics are overwhelming the first time they appear, but will become easier to deal with as you learn the fight.

The main mechanics to watch out for are the various combos during Dawn of an Age. If you need to, focus entirely on tracking the path of the AoEs on 🍬the outer platforms before worrying about d🐻ealing damage.
