The Gilded Araya Walkthrough

false manusya asura, boss of the gilded araya trial

You wil☂l face Asura in a circular arena. For the most part, many mechanics in this fight will be similar to ones you've seen before in the MSQ or other Trials, but there🌠 are a few you'll need to watch out for. We've detailed all of Asura's attacks in the tables below.

Attack Name

Type

Details

Lower Realm

Roomwide AoE

Deals damage to all party members and covers the edge of the arena in an AoE that deals da𝕴mage to players that touch it.

Asuri Chakra

Ring AoE

Creates several consecutive ring AoEs coming from Asura. Stand in between the ring AoEs to avoid🌞 taking damage.

  • Later in the fight, Asura will put AoE markers on players while using Asuri Chakra. Spread out while avoiding the ring AoEs so you don't overlap these onto other players.

Cutting Jewel

AoE Tankbuster

Deals high damage in a small circle around Asura's main target. Use defensive cooldowns to mitigate this damage.

Ephemerality

Roomwide AoE

Asura summons clones of herself that deal damage to all party members, then leave afterimages behind at certain locations. After a short delay, these afterimages will attack again in a circular AoE. Move away from Asura's clones to avoid taking damage.

Iconography

Special

Asura will summon a large clone of herself at the back of the arena that will then use combination attacks with her through Iconic Execution.

Iconography: Pedestal Purge

Pointblank AoE

Deals damage in a circle surrounding the boss. Move away to avoid.

  • Iconic Execution: The clone will deal damage in a large circular AoE surrounding itself, covering the arena on its side. Move far away from the clone to avoid.

Iconography: Wheel of Deincarnation

Ring AoE

Deals damage in a large ring AoE covering a majo🌞rity of the arena, with a safe spot near Asura. Move close to the boss to avoid this attack.

  • Iconic Execution: The clone will deal damage in a large ring AoE surrounding itself, with a safe spot closest to the clone. Move there after avoiding the first Iconography attack.

Iconography: Bladewise

Line AoE

Deals damage in a line AoE to the front o🐓f the boss.

  • Iconic Execution: The clone will fire a large line AoE down the center of the arena. Move to the left or right of the clone to avoid.

Iconic Transcendence

Special

Later in the fight, Asura will cast Iconic Transcendence, which causes the clone to move before using Iconic Execution. Keep in mind which attack is coming an🍌d move accorဣdingly as the clone does to avoid them.

asura's six-bladed khadga attack, slashing six half-circle aoes on the arena

Six-bladed Khadga

Sequential Half-circle AoEs

Asura will mark six half-circle AoEs on the ground in a sequence before slashing there with her blades. You'll need to remember the order of the AoEs and move accordingly to avoid each one. These deal high damage and inflict Vulnerability, so taking two🍸 AoEs in a row may be lethal.

  • The second set of three AoEs is a repeat of the first, so you only need to remember one sequence of AoEs and then repeat it to avoid all six.

The Face of Wrath / The Face of Delight

AoE

Asura splits the arena into a red half and a blue half. Then, either a red or blue face will appear on your screen, indicating which half of the arena will be dangerous. Move to the opposite side of the arena as the face that appears to avoid this AoE.

Myriad Aspects

Sequential Cone AoEs

Asura will create two sets of cone-shaped AoEs around herself that explode after a short delay. Avoid the first set, theꦍn move to avoid the second set when it's safe.

Bladescatter

Line AoEs

Asura will fire a series of line AoEs to her front, turning as she fires them. Get b💛ehind the boss and move with her tﷺo avoid this barrage of AoEs.

At this point, these mechanics will be repeated until the fight is complete. Once you've figured out how to avoid each attack, there won't be any more surprises, so the remainder of the right should 🦂be fairly simple. Be sure to pay close attention to Six-bladed Khadga, and watch carefully when the clone moves during Iconic Transcendence.
