There are many moving parts in the story of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 14 that all add up to make the realm of Eorzea feel alive and fleshed out, and the Primals—also know🍌n as Eikons—are an excellent example of that. Some recognize Primals as Summons found in previous Final Fantasy titles but are embodiments of the summoner's will and are created from concentrated aether in FF14.

Primals generally take on the form of mythical creatures or legendary figures and need large amounts of 🍬aether to survive, which they receive by absorbing it from their surroundings, making them a serious threat to The Source. However, due to their immense power, they are often used as weapons𓃲 of mass destruction, protection, or to help fight against the Garlean Empire.

Zodiark, The First Primal

Primals Zodiark and Hydaelyn in Final Fantasy 14

Etheirys used to be a planet that possessed large amounts of aether. Much like the planet, its inhabitants—known in the future as ancients—also have an abundance of aether and can manipulate it into new forms of life, materials, and other objects via a process known as creation magick. But, as the Final Days of Etheirys played out, the ancients would be driven mad with fear, bringing monsters into the world with this method of creation. These monsters were based on twisted imaginings from the warped minds of the ಌancients, leading to devastation and chaos.

This would lead to the Convocation of Fourteen stepping in to summon the first Primal, Zodiark, to try and ward off the Final Days. The summoning of Zodiark would then cause Venat to summon in Hydaelyn to seal him away, with both summoning methods requiring sacrifices of nearly half the population of Etheirys combined. The battle between Zodiark and Hydaelyn would eventually sunder Etheirys into fourteen near-perfe🌄ct copies with The Source and its Thirteen Shards.

Though few ancients remain, the ones that made it out alive are known as Ascian Paragons. The Ascians' goal is to carry out multiple Umbral Calamities to restore their world to how it was before the Final Days and the sundering of 😼Etheirys. However, they no longer possess a significant amount of aether and must rely on rituals to summon in Primals. The most common and convenient method is via crystals, but other methods are with the eye of a great wyrm, the enigmatic horn, and the tablet found in Seal Rock.

In relation to Umbral Calamities is the special ability known as Echo, which very few people possess. Having the power of the E🌠cho allows those "gifted" with it to peer into the past of other people and resonate with their soul, speak and understand every language, and makes them immune from the thrall of Primals (more on this later). There'✤s also speculation that those gifted with the Echo can foresee an oncoming Calamity as it draws closer.

Seventh Umbral Calamity

Bahamut emerging from the lesser moon Dalamud during the Seventh Umbral Calamity in Final Fantasy 14

Before the events of A Realm Reborn, a few significant events regarding Primals took place that would help shape the universe's future seemingly forever. The Battle of Silvertear Skies, as an example, is a conflict between the Dravanian Horde and the Garlean Empire, which would result in the death of the Father of Dragons, Midgardsormr. Midgardsormr's death would cause a seal to shatter in Silvertear Lake, unleashing aether beneath it into the world. As a resul♚t, the Ascian Paragons would teach various beast tribes how to summon Primals from large ⛄amounts of concentrated aether, which would help give the Garlean Empire a significant push for their campaign.

From here, the leader of the Circle of Knowing, Louisoix Leveilleur, would investigate Garlean Legatus Nael van Darnus, learning that Primals are a threat to the world due to their enormous consumption of crystals and aether. Sometime later, Nael van🗹 Darnus would enact the Meteor Project, which would guide the lesser moon Dalamud onto Eorzea in hopes of exterminating the Primals and putting an end to the threat once and for all as Dalamud would absorb th⛦e aether from the Primals and eradicate them completely.

However, as Dalamud enters Eorzea's atmosphere, it shatters and reveals the Dragon Primal, Bahamut, who has absorbed a significant amount of aether on his descent to the realm from various other Primals. Once freed from his prison, Bahamut would cause the Seventh Umbral Calamity and change the landscape of Eorzea forever, thus lead🐽ing to A Realm Reborn and the ꧃rebuilding of the beast tribes and other nations.

Post Seventh Umbral Era And Beyond

Primal Ifrit, Eden's Recreation Fatebreaker, and Lunar Primal Daivadipa in Final Fantasy 14

As touched on briefly, the primary use of Primals post-Seventh Umbral Era is via the Ascians in an attempt to reset the universe, creating a world similar to the original Etheirys. However, to do this, several Umbral Calamities must take place and destroy The Source and its many shards. There are three types of Primals found throughout A Realm Reborn and the subsequent expansions: Primals, Eden's Recreation, Lunar Primals. To learn more abou﷽t these Primal types, read their entries belo💯w!

For the most part, Primals are used as weapons of mass destruction in an attempt to bring the Final Days upon The Source and its Thirteen Shards. This is where the Scions of the Seventh Dawn come into play, who vow to eliminate any summoned Pr𝔉imal and save the realm of Eorzea by any means necessary. But, in Endwalker, an interesting use⛦ of the mothercrystal is converting its aether into Primals to help power the Ragnarok by having various beast tribes summon their purest form and having the Loporrit's service their creation magick to erase any possibility of enthrallment.

Endwalker sees the end of the Primals created by the ancients. You defeat an incomplete Zodiark and receive the mothercrystal from Hydaelyn before she gives you Meteion's location and fades away. While this doesn't mean there will no longer be Primals in Final Fantasy 14 as we advance, it does signal that Ascians won't be trying to bring on the Final Days ꦍthrough Primals as their story is closed. But, with the beast tribes knowing how to summon Primals, they will undoubtedly still be used for protection, worship, and even wage wars, but we suspect it is not nearly as frequent as before.
