Orchestrions play music based on Orchestrion Rolls that you put into it. These are obtained through a variety of ways, which we'll look at below. What Are Faded Copies Of Orchestrion Rolls Used For?
When clearing dungeons or completing quests, you may receive a Faded Copy of an Orchestrion Roll. If you go to pop this roll into your music box, you'll find that you are unable to. This is because Faded Copies are essentially unrestored versions of the Roll, ꦕmeaning t𝔉hey have to first be restored before they can be used normally.
Restoring Faded Copies is done by Alchemists, using a few different materials and the Faded Copy itself. You'll need to get the corresponding Master Recipes book first, then procure a Blank Orchestrion Roll and Ink, the type of which is specific to the Roll you are restoring. Of course, you'll need a few elemental crystals to complete the craft as well.
