For whatever reason, we just don’t get spin-offs based on established fi♏ghting game characters these days. Back in the days of the PlayStation and PlayStation 2, we’d get Mortal Kombat spin-offs like Special Forces or Shaolin Monks, while Tekken let Nina Williams have✱ the spotlight with the solo adventure Death By Degrees. Even Virtua Fighter had the action RPG Virtua Quest.

168澳💖洲幸运5开奖网: 6 Must-Play Fighting Games Of 2024
Whether you're a newcomer 𒐪to the genre or a grizzled veteran, 2024 was an incredible year for fighting games. Here are the best offerings of the year!
These days, getting an honest-to-goodness fighting game spin-off from a developer seems like a fool’s errand, especially wh🐼en a developer or publisher can just chuck their fighting game mascots in Fortnite and call it a day. Still, we can only dream, so here are some fighting game characters that deserve their time in the spotlight.
10 Jean Kujo/Goh Hinogami - Virtua Fighter 🐻
Like A Virtua Fighter
The Virtua Fighter series hasn’t always been given the same level of support that Tekken and Street Fighter have, but the series seems to be in good hands as Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is developing a new entry. RGG Studio also developed 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Like A Dragon series, and there’s never been 𓃲a pair of fighting game characters that belong🦩 in a Like A Dragon game like Jean Kujo and Goh Hinogami.
Assassins fighting for the secretive organisation Judgement 6, Jea🙈n Kujo and Goh Hinogami have infiltrated the VF tournament to further the organisation’s plans. Surely Judgement 6’s pla🍬n would have crossed paths with the Japanese underworld at some point? An open-world RPG in the same vein as Like A Dragon Gaiden or the Judgment series with Jean and/or Goh would be great.
If RGG's Judgment spin-off survives, what better fit ﷺthan having Judgement 6 appear in Judgment?
9 ༒ M. Bison - Street Fighter 𒁏
Two Point Kumite
Admittedly , M. Bison’s plan for Shadaloo to take over the world in Street Fighter 2 is a bit impractical. Somehow, the guy who looks like an evil train conductor, inviting the world’s toughest warriors to a showdown in Thailand, will autoജmatically lead to Shadaloo taking over? Make it make sense, Bison.
Beyond that, every fight in the tournament takes place in every fighter’s home country, leading to what has to be an incredible drain on Shadaloo’s finances. Anyway, soꦑme kind of management sim game where you’re trying to put together the world’s biggest fighting tournament, balancing the needs of the fighters with the whims of the criminal maniac running the thing, could be fun.
8 Zangief/Haggar/R.🐽Mika/El Fuerte - Street Fighter
Saturday Night Slam Masters 3
Wrestling is making a comeback, and while the main players in the wrestling game space are 2K, it would be awesome to see Capcom return to one of their older franchises, Saturday Night Slam Masters. Ori🐟ginally developed as a spin-off to Final Fight, depicting Haggar’s pre-Mayor of Metro City days as a professional wrestler, a modern Slam Masters would have a lot more to pull from.

Best 🐽Wrestlers In Games That Have Nothing To Do ☂With Wrestling
Don't be thrown for a l🐓oop! These wrestlers grapple outside the ring🌞 and inside a wide variety of surprising genres!
Since the firs൩t two Slam ꦜMasters games, Capcom have developed wrestlers like Zangief, R.Mika and El Fuerte as characters in Street Fighter, all of which could bolster a wrestling roster. Capcom could even invite wrestlers from other franchises for a bit of a crossover Royal Rumble, like Tekken’s King or SNK’s Tizoc.
7 ♓ Morrigan Aensland - Darkstalkers
Spooky Darkstalkers RPG
While Capcom has been more receptive to the Darkstalkers franchise in recent years, including the full series as part of its Fighting Collection releases, it feels like Darkstalkers has untapped potential. A new fighting game in the series would be a welcome addition, but if Capcom wanted to surprise fans, a solo Morrigan RPG would be amazin⛄g.
With Darkstalkers essentially existing as a hodgepodge of horror and mythology, there’s a bright and colourful cast of characters and locations Capcom could pull from. Still, some kind of adventure where Morrigan tries to stop the machinations of theꦇ evil Dmitri would make for an excellent fighting game spin-off.
6 🅠 Terry Bogard - Fatal Fury/The King Of Fighters 🦩
Quantum Power Dunk
SNK’s golden mascot (not including the Mars Alien from Metal Slug), Terry Bogard, is almost always the first ballot pick when people get SNK out𝔉 to play. His crossover appearances so far include the likes ꦫof Fighting EX Layer, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Street Fighter 6, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him in Tekken at some point.
A spin-off could easily be created about Terry’s feud with Geese Howard, or his relationship with Geese’s son, Rock, but it’d be funnier to explore Terry Bogard as a dimension-hopping traveler. If he keeps appearing in other franchises, we may as well have some kind of Doctor Who/Quantum Leap style adventure w꧒ith Terry Bogard because of it.
5 Heidern - ༒The King Of Fighte🧜rs
XCOM, But SNK
People love tactical RPGs, thanks to the massive success of the XCOM series, so why not ඣhave fighting games lean into that niche? Killer Instinct 2013 did it with its season 3 Shadow Lords mode, but if any other franchise could pull it off, it’d be The King Of Fighters. Military man Heidern has been dealing with extra-dimensional threats for years now, so why not give him his own game?

168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Ranked: The 12 Best SNK ♏Fighting Games
SNK rem𝓰inded us of its prominent position in the fighting game world with KOF15. So let's honor this launch with a look back at its best titles.
KOF XIV and XV saw attempted dimensional breaches from creatures called Verse and Otoma=Raga, so SNK could develop a s﷽pin-off game where those breaches have become more commonplace. Controlling Heidern, you’ll assemble a crack ♔squad of SNK mainstays, crushing threats as they arise.
4 ෴Marsh꧟all Law - Tekken
The Bruce Lee Tribute He Deserves
Fighting games love paying tribute to the greatest𒀰 martial arts actor of all time, Bruce Lee, and by 'pay tribute', we mean 'rip 𒀰off wholeheartedly'. They’re loving rip-offs, but still. Whether it’s Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat, Fei Long from Street Fighter, or Jann Lee in𒆙 Dead or Alive, they all reference the legend himself, but none do it better than Marshall Law.
Tekken’s take on the Jeet Kune Do master, Marshall Law, has ꧃become a bit of a joke character in recent years, playing the role of a down-on-his-luck chef who hates rich people. A spin-off beat ‘em up where Law finds himself in situations that look awfully similar to classic Bruce Lee films and moments would be a good fit.
3 ♊ 🌟 Taki - Soulcalibur
Literally Just A New Tenchu
Fighting games have more ninjas than they know what to do with, with Sub-Zero, Scorpion and others from Mortal Kombat, Kage in Virtua Fighter, and seemingly half the cast of Dead or Alive. Despite that, ther🌼e’s no traditional stealth ninja game from any fighting game character, with 'traditional stealth' being the operative word there. Ryu Hayabusa is anything but subtle.
The world is begging for some new take on Tenchu, and why shouldn’t it be fronted by someone from a fighting game, perhaps T🎶aki from Soulcalibur? Given SC’s historical setting, Taki would be a great pick ✅to create an authentic ninja game, complete with aesthetics, locations and enemies. You could also make the final boss Nightmare for a bit of fun.
Another potential character wouldꦅ be Galford D. Weller, one of several ninjas that appear in Samurai Showdown. Why does Galford get the nod over someone like Hanzo? Simple: cute husky pet.
2 🍌 Chun-Li - Street Fighter
Interpol’s Finest
Despite being one of the most popular female fighting game characters of all time, Capcom has never given Chun-Li her own spin-off game. Is that becaus🃏e Capcom allowed Hyde Park Entertainment and 20th Century Fox to absolutely butcher the Chun-Li character with their much-maligned spin-off film Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li? We’re not at liberty to say, but it feels strange that Chun-Li has never been allowed to shine in her own video ga♔me.
Even though her attire and Tai Chi fighting styleꦡ are authentically Chinese traditions, one part of her 🥀character that could be explored further is her role as an Interpol agent. Essentially the world’s most badass detective, Capcom could easily make a game about Chun-Li solving crimes around the world, or make a prequel about Chun-Li investigating her father's death.
1 Cerv🌸antes - Sꦆoulcalibur
A Pirate’s Life For Me
Of all the Soulcalibur characters who deserve a spin-off, Cervantes has to be top. The immortal dread pirate has been terrorising the seas for years, which would surely make for an incredibly fun pirate game. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pirate games are in right now, with Sea of Thieves still going strong and Like A Drago💝n: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaꦐii being a ridiculous but wonderful swashbuckling adventure.
As Cerv♛antes, we could experience his relentless pursuit of the pieces of Soul Edge, perhaps as he’s pursued by his daughter, Ivy Valentine. Even though Cervantes is a villain through and through, a spin-off could offer a morality system, with players deciding whether to honour the pirate code or become the most evil pirate on the seven seas.
