It's been a decade since the last mainline Fallout game, and while there are murmurs of 🧸an Oblivion-st♉yle remaster for Fallout 3, there's no word from Bethesda on the future of the series. All eyes are on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Elder Scrolls 6, right now.

That being said, VGC reporter Jordan Middler claimed🤪 on that "there are multiple Fallout projects in development, including that one you're all wanting". While he didn't go into detail on what it might be, fans have been calling on Bethesda to let Obsidian take the reigns with a new game for years now. It's unlikely to be a literal New Vegas 2, given that the TV series is primed to explore the Mojave next season, but perhaps we're due another West Coast game.

Interestingly, Obsidian said in 2023 that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:it would "love" to make a new Fallout, but it didn't have one in development at the time. Granted, it's about to release the last of its announced projects with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Grounded 2 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Outer Worlds 2, after having just launched Avowed earlier this year. So, maybe one of its next projects is a Fallout spin-off. Otherwise, Middler could be referring to the leaked Fallout 3 remaster, another hotly-anticipat💖ed project.

Don't Expect A New Fallout Game Anytime Soon, Though

While multiple Fallout games might be exciting news, especially since the last one—168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 76—launched in 2018, it's still worth temperiไng expectations. Middler stated that the project "you're all wanting" isn't far along enough in development that he can promise you'll be playing it anytime soon.

Middler mentions Fallout at the 57:41 mark.

Fallout 5 won't start development until after The El🎐der Scrolls 6, and we haven't seen anything from it since the vague CGI trailer shown in 2018. It'll be a while before we get a new mai𝓀nline Fallout game, to say the least, and Middler even speculates that Todd Howard will 🍌have retired by then.

What's more likely is that Fallout 3 will launch next; as per the leaked internal roadmap, the remaster is slated to launch alongside TES6. That's if it hasn't been cancelled amid the huge wave of Micr﷽osoft layoffs that saw unannounced games, as well as projects like Zenimax🐎's MMO, get the ax. But with the success of Oblivion, that seems unlikely.

Then we have the possible Obsidian game. If one does exist and has started development, it would still be years away. Though it does seem a likely candidate for the one "you're all wanting". But again, this is purely speculation—all Middler claimed is that multiple proj💎ects are in the works. What those might be, and when they'll launch, is anyone's guess right now.
