Updated June 13, 2024, by Andrew Scariati: If you're one of the thousands of ܫVault 🧔Dwellers who recently joined Fallout 76, then there are plenty of quests to catch up on, like I Am Become Death. If you need to track down information about the code encryption, follow these steps to become an army general and drop your first Fallout 76 nuke.
How To Start I Am Become Death
To start the I Am Become Death quest, you must have first completed Officer on Deck, given to you by MODUS in The Whitespring bunker.
Once you've acquired the ten promotional commendations and become a general, you'll receive I Am Become Death, which tasks you with heading to the Whitespring Congressional Bunker command center for further instructions.
You can completely avoid the rest of the steps in this quest by as✨king a teammate (who has already completed this quest) to launch a nuke for you.
You won't get to experience the steps for yourself, but you'll skip to the very end of the quest.
Check the command center tracking terminal to sc🅷an Appalchia for the location ꦕof a codepiece or convoy.
This step initiates the Hide and Seek and Destroy quest, which is a sub-step you'll nee♏d to perform to finish I Am Become Death.
How To Track Down The Encryption Code
Depending on which silo you've chosen, you'll need a specifi🐈c launch code for that silo.
Hide and Seek and Destroy is repeatable every time you need to get codes to launch a nuke, but you can also ignore this step and check the code✅ for the silo you need on .
The codes are reset evꦜery week but remain the same during tꦕhat period.
Hunt down the Scorched officers with field radios at the marked map locations to acquire꧋ a piece of the code you need. You'll hear a light beeping whe🐻n you're near one.
Once you've acquired the string of codes, you can find them displayed in the bunker's command center, where you🍎 can figure out the word needed to produce a code.
To ensure your code is right, read the archival terminal in the command center.
Santiago's notes will lead you to the Fujiniya Intelligence Base. Here, you can input the word you deciphered to receive a nuclear launch code.
Secondly, you'll want to acquire a Nuclear Keycard if you haven't already.
You can find a Nuclear Keycard by tracking down a cargobot coꦡnvoy marked on your map from earlier.
There will be a few Vertibots escorting the cargobot. Shoot them down, 🐈then use V.A.T.S to take out the cargobot's evasive thrusters.
Shoot down the cargobot to loot the Nuclear Keycard from the large case it was carrying.
From here, you're free to head to the silo and fight your way to the launch terminal, where you'll be asked to select a location to launch your first nuke.
Fissure site Prime is the optional target as part of this quest, as launching a nuke at that spot will spawn the Scorchbeast Queen. This is the main final boss of the Scorched threat and is one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the strongest enemies in Fallout.
You can also choose to ignore this recommendation and launch your nuke at one of the other possible locations where an event can spawn.
Th﷽ese locations will trigger 🌳their associated events:
Location To Nuke |
Event |
Boss |
---|---|---|
Fissure site Prime |
Scorched Earth |
Scorchbeast Queen |
Monongah Mine |
A Colossal Problem |
Earle Williams (Wendigo Colossus) |
Abandoned mine shaft 2 |
Seismic Activity |
Ultracite Titan |
Once you've launched your first nuke, you can repeat the steps starting from Hide and Seek and Destroy to decrypt another code and launch your nuke.
