Summary

  • Fallout 5's release window isn't being brought forward after the show's success.
  • The Elder Scrolls 6 is still launching first.
  • Fans are instead going back and playing the older games.

Neither of Bethesda's next projects, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Elder Scrolls 6 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 5, have release windows. The only hint we've been given is that the Skyrim sequel will be with us first, followed by the next Fallout. Now, Bethesda confirms that this hasn't changed, even after the success of the Fallout TV show.

As spotted by , Todd Howard has confirmed that Fallout 5 is still years away. This comes from an interview with , in which Howard reveals that Betheda's main focus right now is on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starfield updates and the development of Elder Scrolls 6, leaving Fallout 5 on the back burner.☂

"So obviously, our focus as far as new development right now is Elder Scrolls 6," says Howard, before adding, "That doesn't mean that we're not making plans for other things."

However, as far as Howard is concerned, the continuous updates for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 76 are enough to capitalise on the show's success. "We're still doing a lot of work, obviously on Fallout 76, and we see the community, so many people going into that game and kind of rediscovering it and just so happy with where that game is at," he says. "This has one of the best communities in all of gaming."

Fallout Fans Are Flocking Back To The Games

While many fans are eager to get their hands on a new single-player Fallout game, Fallout 76 has seen a huge player spike since the show went live on Prime Video. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:As we previously reported, the MMO reached a new concurrent player peak on Steam due 🌟to this increased interest. When the record was set, 39,455 users were online at⛎ once, and that just accounts for those accessing the game via Steam. This record has since been smashed again, with 45,173 players logging in just a few hours ago.

The Fallout modding scene is also breaking records, with the most Fallout 4 an𝐆d New Vegas mods installed in a single d༺ay last weekend. After all, it's hard to return to a game made in a Bethesda engine without installing a bunch of fan creations and fixes, let's be honest. The modding community will have to keep us sustained a little longer now it seems, now that we know that Bethesda isn't making any changes to its release schedule based on the show's success.

At the very least, we have Fallout 4's current-gen update to look forward to, coming on April 25.
