What Are Deathclaws?

As you can see in the picture above, Deathclaws are giant lizard-like monsters that adapted to the irradiated Wasteland after the Great War.

These enemies are significantly larger than humans and can use their cꩵlaws to tear through their prey, easily killing t✱hem.

As such, most Wastelanders are terrified of Deathclaws, so humans tend to make their homes far away from their nes🥀ts.

If your HP gets too low, Deathclaws can initiate a grab attack that can kill you in one shot.

Wearing Power Armor can completely prevent this one-shot from happening, but you can still be g▨rabbed, tossed, and damag🍌ed.

Unfortunately, there are many varieties of Deathclaws, which means that you may have to adjust your strategy depending on which type of Deathclaw🧸 you're fighting.

You can find out about each Deathclaw's resistance and what level you encounter them below, but ballistic damage is usually best to use since their ph🥃ysical resistance isn't as strong a♔s their energy resistance.

If you look around Concord, you'll see buildings in every direction.

If you enter the large building (pictured above), th♑en you can damage the Deathclaw without it being capable of hitting you, since it can't fit in the structure.

If the Deathclaꦓw disappears, then simply 🐓leave the structure and lead it back to the open building, where you can continue to damage it again.

This strategy makes it easy to defeat the Concord Deathclaw without taking any damage.

You can also apply the same principles to any Deathclaw you encounter in the Commonwealth; find a roof or gain a height advantage over a Deathclaw, and they'll be helpless against your ranged shots.

How To Defeat The Deathclaw During "The Devil's Due"

The Deathclaw you encounter inside the Museum Of Witchcraft is different depending on the🐓 level you are when you encounter it.

Unfortunately, it's much harder to defeat this Deathclaw than the one in Concord, since this fight takes place in a tightဣ interior.

The easiest way to deal damage to the Deathclaw is by running ꧃it around the walls of the museum'✨s interior and doing damage with a ranged weapon whenever you get an opening.

Additionally, you can also use multiple grenades and mines to defeat the Deathclaw in an instant before it ever discovers you, although ไthis will require a large supply of exꦰplosive weapons.

The final strategy you can use is simply sneakin♚g past the Deathclaw and grabbing Sergeant Lee's Holotaꦿpe from the bathroom.

This will allow you to progress in "The Devil's Due" quest without killing the Deathclaw.

All of these strateg💧ies🧸 are viable, but it depends on which perks you've invested in throughout your post-apocalyptic adventure.
