It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Ravensburger aboutꦫ any updates, but during today’s The Next Chapter livestream, new director of communications Greg Tito showered us with a year’s worꦺth of updates in just a matter of minutes.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Disney Lorcana Is Healing
The meta is s🔯tarting to settle following Disney Lorcana's first-🍸ever bans.
During the livestream, we got information on the World Championship, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Reign of Jafar, Fabled, and the reveal of two new rarity types. We also learned about an upcoming card rotation, the next set coming after Fabled, and the reveal of a few highly anticipated Disney franchises coming soon to the game. If you missed the broadcast or are just looking for the specifics, here’s e✤verything we learned from Lorcana’s The Next Chapter livest﷽ream.
Everything About Fabled
Set 9, Fabled, will launch at local game stores August 29 with a big box retail release to follow on September 5. The set kicks off Lorcana’s third year and will fꦏeature a lot of new th🧜ings, including the reveal of a brand new IP to Disney Lorcana: The Goofy Movie.
Fabled will introduce two new rarity types. The first is Epic. These are borderlessꦫ cards that feature the same artwork as already-released cards, but with more of the art visible, a special rainbow foil treatment, a holofoil treatment on the icons, and gloss treatment on the art, similar to what we see on Legendary cards. Epic cards are more common than Enchanted but more rare than Legendary. There will be 18 of them in Fabled. ♐The first one revealed is Elsa, Snow Queen from The First Chapter
A Goofy Movie Is Coming To Fabled
The other new rarity is Iconic. These cards are more rare than Enchanteds and will feature alternate art for existing cards. They will have a custom lore star foil pattern and 3D hot stamp effects. There are only two in Fabled, the first one revealed is a brand new card in Fabled called Mi🍌🐼ckey Mouse, Brave Little Prince.
Unlike previous sets, more than half of Fabled will be made up of reprints from the first four sets. Any Fabled cards that were previously printed in The First Chapter, Rise of the Floodborn, Into the Inklands, and Ursula’s Return will have the exact same artwork and mechanics as their original versions. The only diffeꦦrence will be the card number and ♒set number at the bottom of the card.
The set championship card for Fabled was also revealed. The First Chapter’s Maleficent, Monstrous Dragon will be receiving a new Enchanꦯted version for set champs.
Those new reprinted cards are eligible for the Epic, Enchanted, and Iconic upgrade treatment, as we saw with both the Epic Elsa, Snow Queen, and the new Enchanted Winnie the Pooh, Hunn𒀰y Wizard. There is also a Collector Starter Set that comes with a pr🤡omo version of Tinker Bell, Giant Fairy. Stitch, Rockstar was also confirmed to be making a return in Fabled.
Disney Lorcana’s First Set Rotation
Why so many reprints in Fabled? Well, with the launch of the ninth set comes Lorcana’s first ever rotation. When the set launches on August 29, all of the ca💖rds from the first four sets will no longer be legal in the Standard Constructed format. The only exception will be those cards that are reprinted in Fabled. Both the new set nine version and the original versions, as well as any promo or enchanted versions you might have, will remain legal in Standard.
Rotation is planned to f🌜o💞llow the set directly after the World Championship each year.
With rotation comes a brand new format, called Infinity Constructed. In this format, you’ll be able to use any cards from any set going al🅺l the way back to the beginning of Disney Lorcana. This format will not have a rotation, and it will maintain a ban list separate from Standard Constructed.
Starting this week, you can sign up for Lorcana’s new tournament organizing client, the Ravensburger Play Hub. If you can’t find your LGS on the play hub, now would be a good time to check in with them to m꧃ake sure they sign up, andℱ maybe ask them about hosting an Infinity Constructed night at the store.
Disney Lorcana’s First World Championship
We finally have the dates for the Disney Lorcana World Championship in Orlando, but unfortunately, the long-awaited announcement comes💃 with some bad news. This year’s world championshi♏p will not be open to the public or press. Only the qualified players, their +1s, and the commentators will be allowed to attend.
This is contradictory to what Ravensburger announced back at D23 Expo last year, when fans were told they’d be able to attend 💫the event, and that it would share space with a Disney Lorcana Quest experience - an upcoming social-focused Lorcana event that has ye෴t to materialize. At the time, global community and engagement manager Richelle Brady said that the World Championship would “mostly be a Quest event, with a major Challenge event in the middle of it.” Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.
You can watch the World Cha🌸mpionship on the Disney Lorcana Twitch channel June 28-29. Spectators will have a chance to get the A Whole New World promo card and learn details about the next season of Disn🍨ey Lorcana Challenge, starting later this year.
Reign Of Jafar Reveals, And A Look Beyond Fabled
We finally got some more details about this month’s Reign of 🎃Jafar expansion. The new Illumineer’s Quest, Palace Heist, has some notable upgrades over last year’s Deep Trouble. The co-op game will come in a normal board game storage box and will includওe a full game board, rather than a paper mat. Rather than battling Jafar, players will be infiltrating his palace in an attempt to steal and destroy the Hexwell crown once and for all.
We got a look at quite a few cards coming in Reign of Jafar, including the introduction of Bambi and his friends, Flowe📖r and Thumper. We also learned that dual-ink cards and Illusions will return. We got to see two Illusion cards: Magic Carpet, Phantom Rug; and Palace Guard, Spectral Sentry, as well as several dual-ink cards, including a Sapphire/Steel Jasmine, an Amber/Ruby Minnie Mouse, and an Amethyst/Steel Jafar, which will also be the Set Championship card of Reign of Jafar.
We♊ also got our first Enchanted reveal in Jasmine, Steady Strategist.
Finally, Ravensburger left us with a couple of hints about upcoming characters and sets. Following Fabled in August, this year’s Q4 set will be called Whisp💎ers in the Well. The key art for the set revealed the introduction of Disney’s Gargoyles. Tito also revealed that Darkwing Duck will be making his Disney Lorcana debut in 2026.
While there’s certainly a lot more good news here than bad, the pivot to a competitor only event for the first World Championship is certainly going to leave a lot of fans disappointed. That, along with the rotation news, will give Lorcana players a lot to digest over the coming weeks. Things move fast in the world of TCGs though, and before you know it we’ll all be salivating over Reign o🌊f Jafar’s spoiler season. Stay tuned.
