For platformers and shooters that aren't too complex on the surface, these tiꦦ🍒tles surely take some work to fully complete.
Whether it’s the ridiculously fun gameplay of Crash Bandicoot, the fantastic world♔ of Jak and Daxter, the nail-biting action of Uncharted, or the ultra-serious tones of The Last of Us – Naughty Dog has captivated players through all kinds of different genres, themes, and mediums in a way that very few other studios have managed to 𓂃do.
Update on July 23, 2024, by Lucas Olah: We haven't had any new games from Naughty Dog since The Last of Us Part 2 - games with realistic graphics just take a long time. Thus, this is the perfect opportunity to take a look back at ND's beginning and greatest hits and reminisce on their work while we wait for whatever sequel or new game they have planned for the future.
20 Math Jam
Humble Beginnings, Indeed
Math Jam was an educational game released in 1985. It served as the studio's debut title, self-published by Andy Garvin and Jason Rubin for the Apple II Computer, distributed on floppy disks and coming with instructions in a plastic bag. The objective of the project was to teach kids simple mathematics, using a likable character to do so.
Math Jam is not the kind of game you'd associate with an upcoming gaming juggernaut, but Naughty Dog's trajectory isn't your standard studio development history. Plus, it's cute to see they started with an educational game.
19 Ski Crazed 🐓
No More Educational Games
Naughty Dog found more success with their follow-up title, Ski Crazed, released in 1986. Originally titled Ski Stud, before its name change, Ski Crazed's simple premise of traversing down a snowy mountain peak was probably quite decent for the time.
Though the game is obsolete by today's standards, it's a huge upgrade from what came before, especially considering it was designed by two people who were 16 at the time they made it.
18 🃏 Keef The Thief 𒁃
Properly Made By Naughty Dog, Now
With their new publish🍰er, Electronic Arts🐲, JAM Software were about to make its biggest transition to date. So, what better time for a name change? Thus, Naughty Dog was born, and their first release was Keef the Thief.
Dropping for the Apple IIGS in 1989, before being ported to the Amiga and the MS-DOS at later dates, the comedy RPG broke new ground in the video game sphere, but not necessarily appealing ground. Gavin and Rubin haﷺve since stated that they weren’t too happy with the finished product, and they felt they lost creative control throughout the making of it.
17 ♐ Way Of The Warrior
Finish Him?
Way of the Warrior is Naughty Dog's take on a Mortal Kombat-like game. However, it didn't achieve the same heights as Mortal Kombat - as you probably noticed, as the series is still kicking and doing well for itself.
It's certainly a pretty game to look at – besides the blood and gore – but its controls could be much better. Released on the 3DO in 1994, Way of the Warrior knows what it wants to be but can't necessarily put those ideas into action. Still, the finishing maneuvers are pretty awesome, and the slick graphical sprites are a joy to gaze at.
16 ♛ Dream Zone𓂃
Escape The Dream
Dream Zone's premise revolves around the player being trapped in their own dreams, and they must attempt to escape. Using a text-based format, Dream Zone was incredibly ambitious for Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin to even approach.

Which Nau꧂ghty Dog Game Has The Most Characters?
Naughty Dog has left its paw mark in gaming history, but which o🐓f the studio's games assembles the biggest cast?
Thanks to the game's forward-thinking approach and clear technical prowess, the pair were offered a future development deal from EA off the back of it. The game should be applauded for its ability to make players feel like they're in a dream – which was the goal of the project, after all.
15 ಌ Rings Of Power
11 Rings To Rule Them All
The studio’s most competent pre-Crash product has got to be the old-school RPG Rings of Power. Released for the Sega Genesis in 🌊1991, the game is a lovable isometricꦇ RPG that, while not perfect, transcends its problems thanks to its lovable charm.
You play as a young sorcerer, and your goal is to find 11 Rings of Power in order to take on the evil God, Void. It’s quite ambitious, featuring an open-ended design that allows fo꧙r hundreds of dialog options, random events, and scores of missions. Throw in a massive open world, and you’ve got a game way ahead of its time. Keef the Thief even makes a cameo appearance!
14 🐽 Jak X: Combat Racing 🌄
Never Let Go Of The Turbo Button
Jak X: Combat Racing
- Released
- October♊ 18, 2005
- Platform(s)
- 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 2, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 4
Jak X continued a weirdly funny concept that Naughty Dog's fourth installment in the franchise consisted of a racing game, and while this is no Crash Team Racing, Jak X fits well within its series and presents a wonderful mix of racing and killing everyone with heavy artillery.
Though the controls might take some getting used to at first, this game allows you to reach extremely high speeds and keep a slide going for a very long time. And it has a fun story mode in a narrative that has stakes but doesn't take itself seriously, as Jak and Daxter tend to be.
13 ꦅ ꦿ Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
Now In The Desert
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
- Released
- Novౠember 1, 2011
- Platform(s)
- 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 3, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 4
You know your series is doing well when a game as good as Uncharted 3 is the weakest link in the series. The game still picks up on everything Uncharted i🅰s known for, with great gameplay in both combat and exploration and a stro💝ng narrative to tie things together.
In fact, the difference is so little that the best Uncharted would probably boil down to personal preference. We'll leave it here, though, due to the other games' high points in exploration, design, and narrative being higher than this one.
12 ൲ Crash Bandicoot
Naughty Dog's First Big Hit
Few games are as familiar and loved as Naughty Dog’s first Crash Bandicoot title. It marked the studio’s first real t✅aste of 🌊success, featuring a unique style that has transcended its admittedly aged mechanics. The sound, visuals, gameplay, and story captivated audiences when it dropped in 1996 and continues to do so to this very day.
Its biggest downfall, especially compared ꧟to its sequels, is its stiffer controls. Still, there’s a charm here that overcomes any gameplay shortcomings, as well ꦆas a nostalgia trip that very few games can match.
11 Jak 2
Grand Theft Eco
Jak 2 is, to this day, a very curious title. Its gameplay is basically the same as its predecessor,𒅌 but it packs the series with a load of action mechanics such as guns, car theft, and a dark transformation. This also comes along with a more mature story about revenge - though the game is still light-hearted in some ways and has a crude (but fun) humor.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网: E༺very Jak And Daxter Game, Ranked
Jak and Daxter brought us an entire seꦬries - but which of these games is still playable, and which never was?
Its only big problem is the repetitive traversal throughout the map, as Haven City is quite a big place that essentially demands you to be in a car quite often. Other than that, it is a technically superior 𝓀game to its prequel, and it can be quite ch🅷allenging sometimes.
