When I ordered a copy of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth without having ever completed a Yakuza game, I did so with the best of intentions. This was early on in 2024, and I was still full of the hubris that comes from having three seasons left in the year. The physical version was on sale for about half the retail price, and I knew (I knew) that I would get to it by the end of the year, having completed Yakuzas 1-7, plus relevant spin-off, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Like a Drag🔜on Gaiden: The Man Who Erased🎉 His Name, and irrelevant spin-off, Judgment. I was going to devote the year to finally see🎃ing what all the fuss was about, then celebrate with Infinite Wea🌠lth which, per , is the best game in the series.

I Didn't Beat All The Yakuza Games. Now What?

Unfortunately, it's September and none of that happened. The chill in the air makes undeniable the conclusio🌺n that, until now, I had been avoiding: I am not going to play all the Yakuza games this year.

Duh.

But, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is still a Game of the Year cont♏ender, and I'd like to hit the big ones before I vote for TheGamer's GOTY pick and make my own personal list. I'm playing Astro Bot, and I played all those great indies that came out back in May, so it seems like I should make time for one of the most acclaimed games of the year — even if it is the eighth mainline title in a series I haven't ever made much progress in. That makes sense in the short term. I'll be better prepared to do my job at the end of the year, and will get to play an acclaimed 2024 game in the process. Win-win. But, is skipping straight to Infinite Wealth a good move in the long-term? I can see both sides.

Why Can't I Start With Infinite Wealth?

In my experience, doing the maximal amount of pr🐼ep doesn't always make an experience more enjoyable. In high school, I went to see Twilight because some friends invited me, and then ended up enjoying the movie and going back to read the books. A few years later, I did the same thing with The Hunger Games. In both cases, I had a blast experiencing the book with the knowledge the movies gave me. I liked being able to picture the movie versions of the characters and locations. It wasn't a better experience, necessarily, but I didn't regret approaching the books that way.

Similarly, I started watch🐻ing Lost with season two, because that was just the season that was on the air at the time. When my dad got the first season on DVD for Christmas, I went back and watched from the beginning and filled in all those gaps. Or, recently on Reddit, I saw someone say that they did a "Star Wars" with the Mistborn series by reading Era 2 before Era 1. Era 2 is set 300 years after Era 1, and builds on Era 1 in major ways that spoil key plot points. This redditor said they still had a great time with th﷽e books, despite approaching them in an order that no fan would recommend.

So, I guess this article is my way of convincing myself that it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to start with Infinite Wealth (even if features editor Tessa Kaur 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:doesn't recommend it). I could still gꦡo back to the earlier games. I could still enjoy them with the knowledge of what comes next. Right? Right??
