I can’t help but adore the Adoring Fan in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Oblivion Remastered. He’s intended to be an annoying joke, and someone who intentionally irritates us. There are countless clips and memes about the many ways players can kill the character, and I even remember locking him away in the basement of my Bruma house 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:back when I played Oblivion as a kid so he could pester me no longer.

But since then, I’ve come around. With the Adoring Fan added to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starfield, I proudly brought him along to be a permanent member of my ship’s crew. Is he bland, useless, and i꧂rritating? Yes. And now, with Oblivion Remastered, I was ready to take this wꦏeird little guy under my wing and have fun adventures with him all over again.

And then he was taken from me way too soon.

Yes, I know I can 𒊎reload my save, but I’m not doing that. A♋nd yes, I know the Adoring Fan will likely show up again somehow because,𒅌 well, of course he would. But that’s not the point.

The Only Reason I Fought In The Arena

Watching an arena match from a box seat.

I’ve never been a gladiator fan, and so the Arena in the Imperial City was always just something to do rather than anything I cared for. I don’t fight to be called Grand Champion. I fight so he can call me Grand Champion. Once I have my Adoring Fan, I’ll never return to the Arena district of the Imperial City. There’s n𒈔othing left for me there.

Instead, I brought him along as we set off on our journeys. Right after the Arena questline, I knew I wanted to take on the Nights of the Nine pilgrimage, so off to Anvil we went. However, this was going to be quite the trek, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:as I’m not fast-travelling in my

adventure. To make it worse, I left my horse at the Imperial City stables, as I didn’t want to keep dismounting to engage with aggro’d monsters or to save my dea🥂r boy -𓂃 plus, taking a horse on this pilgrimage didn’t feel right.

The Adoring Fan can’t fight. The Adoring Fan 🍌can’t carry anything. He holds a torch when it’s dark. That’s about it.

Once we arrived at Anvil, the pilgrimage would be🦩gin. An even longer journey that would see us travel across the entirety of Cyrodiil, on foot. Off we went, exploring the wilderness in the meantime, and stopping off at each shrine of prayer to progress the holy journey.

And then, ꦓas I dodged a projectile from a wraith within some fort ruins, I finished the creature off, and turned around to an even more horrific sight.

The Adoring Fan was adoring thꦺe𓄧 ground, face first.

The Whimsy Of Adventure Died With Him

TG Oblivion Adoring Fan Dead

I believe the next words out of my mouth were, and I quote, “Nooooooooo” - give or take a few ‘o’s. My boy had been killed in the crossfire, destroyed by a wraith just because he was ♔trying to hold the torch close so I could see a little better. I thought he might be unconscious, that he might get up; alas, he did not rise.

In the dark, damp corridors of these old ruins, everything suddenly felt a little colder as I said my goodbyes. After a few minu🌃tes, I continued on, with less adventure in my step. I left the ruins and walked the pilgrimage alone.

Now, as I stand outside of my little house in Bravil, looking out over the town a🎀nd the lake beside it, life in Cyrodiil feels a little quieter. Not peaceful, just quieter.

Update: He showed up again. So.
