Have you ever been playing Elden Ring, and just wished things were a bit more random? If so, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring Nightreign is the same for you. Taking that same world and base foundations, Nightreign has twisted it into a roguelike experience designed around cooperative play. And while therဣe are plenty of familiar pieces, the game does lots to stand out.
The introduction of pre-set playable characters is one of those. With plenty of Nightfarers to choose from, you have many different ways to approach each Expedition. However, Executor gives you a way to pla🦋y unlike anything else in the game. In fact, he plays a bit more akin to Sekiro, if you're a fan of more deflection-based play.
Overview Of Executor
Executor is a character with a very defined way they are meant to be played. Though decent with HP scaling, they are still fairly soft, and require very effective dodging and parrying to enhance their survivability. As such, they are far from a beginning character, and you should get used to the basics of parrying before trying to commit to them.
Executor is through-and-through a Dexterity character. Sharp, fast blades are the only weapons in which they can excel, with middling to outright poor scaling in all other attributes. This is all to promote you using the core mechanic of Executor - the Cursed Sword. This is their Character Skill, but one that can be used whenever without cooldown, unlike every other character. It lets you parry any attack with relative ease, dealing posture damage and negating all damage for only a small stamina cos🅷t.
However, this also means Executor is quite poor in scenarios with multiple enemies. They need a focused opponent, and allies that can take down weaker enemies or distract larger crowds. They excel in one-on-one battles, where even the largest foe is liable to be parried. And with an S scaling in Arcane, Bleed builds become incredibly useful in boosting your damage.
Executor's Traits
Like all other Nightfarers, Executor comes with three unique traits - a Passive Ability, Character Skill, and Ultimate Art. Despite their very focused playstyle however, thei📖r traits are actually quite diverse.
Passive Ability
Executor's Passive Skill, Tenacity, is perhaps the most passive among all the Nightfarers. After recovering from a status ailment, you will a boost to attack damage and stamina recovery speedꦡ. With ailments like Poison and Scarlet Rot, you must fully recover before Tenacity activates. For instantaneous ailments, like Frostbite and Blood Loss, T♛enacity activates immediately.
However, Blood Loss is where you can force the activation of Tenacity. Like in the original🌄 Elden Ring, us🍰ing Seppuku, if you find a weapon with it, will trigger Blood Loss and boost your damage. This in turn activates Tenacity for additional boosts. It makes Executor even more of a risk-reward character than they already are.
Character Skill
Executor's Character Skill is the main reason you will be playing as them. Cursed Sword has Executor draw the katana from its sheathe and two-hand it. Its moveset is identical to a regular katana, though you can only walk while holding it, and your dodge becomes a short hop rather than the 🍸longer roll.
Once you take out the Cursed Sword, the only way to sheathe it is to start a surge sprint, or use the Character Sk♎illಞ again.
While wielding the Cursed Sword, you gain the ability to deflect attacks by blocking just before you are hit. You have to be quite precise with this, though sparks will fly when you have done so correctly. This will deal posture damage to the enemy, with enough deflections breaking their guard entirely. The more you deflect, the more the Cursed Sword will become revealed, glowing gold.
When the Cursed Sword glows, deflections will deal more posture damage, attack will deal more damage, and you can unleash a powerful slash as a weapon skill that deals high HP and posture damage. Once the Cursed Sw⛄ord is revealed, it will remain as such until you use the weapon skill to deplet𝕴e it.
Graciously, if you try to deflect too early, you will still block the incoming attack, though it will take much more stamina than a standard block. This will almost always break your guard, leaving you open to follow-up attacks. Because꧑ of this, using the Cursed Sword is real🍌ly only effective when facing one enemy, as deflections can struggle to keep up with very fast combos and multiple enemies attacking at once.
Keep in mind that while every physical attack can be deflected, magic cannot. Only use the Cursed Sword against꧃ primarily melee enemies.
Ultimate Art
The Executor's Ultimate Art is a rather unexpected one. Aspects of the Crucible: Beast allows the Executor to take on the form of a primordial beast, turning into a massive monster with a wholly unique moveset. Far from the single enemy focus the rest of his traits are built around, his Ultimate Art allows him to take on groups of enemies at once.
While in this beastly form, your HP is massively boosted, and you gain access to new light attacks, heavy attacks, and a weapon skill. The weapon skill is a powerful slash that deals 🌊high damage, but will instantly end the Ultimate Art, so only use it when the gaugﷺe is close to being fully depleted. You also gain a massive amount of hyper armour so you can push through any enemy assault.
If your HP when leaving the beast form is higher than what your HP was when entering, you will keep the higher HP up to your HP limit.
While in Beast form, you are not incredibly powerful, and it is most effective for taking down groups of enemies or staggering. You are also not invincible, so keep an eye on your HP so it doesn't fully deplete. As such, it should be used in scenarios where you are overwhelmed or low on HP. Because of its large swipes, it also makes it very ef♈fective at reviving allies.
Best Weapons To Use With Executor
Because of the Executor's S scaling in Dexterity, these are almost exclusively the weapons you should use. All other scalings pale in comparison, so it is best to stick to what Executor is already good at. This is lighter weapons, katanas, daggers, curved swords, and the like. These hit fast and get great damage scaling.
However, Executor also has an S scaling in Arcane. This means certain incantations, specifically those centered around blood, are incredibly effective with Executor. Since katanas all naturally deal Blood Loss, building on this with Arcane, such as with Bloodflame Blade, is an immense boost to Exec🦂utor's damage output.
A final thing of note. Because of the Cursed Sword Character Skill, Executor always has access to a katana moveset. This gives you a great excuse to pick up other Dexterity weapons for your primary loadout to give you more options. With the Cursed Sword often being a waiting game for deflections, first applying a status ailment like Scarlet Rot with a weapon that has it to an enemy can ඣhelp whittle them down as you bait for theℱm to strike.
In Nightreign, a symbol is added below an enemy's health bar to indicate when a status ailment is active on them.
